So I'm 37 weeks on Monday and really struggling! Don't remember being anything like this with my first. Got bad PGP, cannot for the life of me sleep, getting so many tightenings (assuming Braxton Hicks as never had this last time either) and now woke up this morning feeling so nauseous. Do you think it might be things starting? I went over last time and was induced so never been through the 'normal' labour process! I really hope it is as dread the thought of another 3/4 weeks! I'm super grateful to be pregnant and know it'll all be worth it but my word this last bit is hard! Is anyone else struggling and near the end? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Sorry to say but this is exactly how I am but only 32 weeks I think it's generally the 3rd trimester which is a bitch! No one cane say for sure if it's your body getting ready or not as everyone is different.. My 1st I didn't feel any different untill I was established Labour and with my 2nd I felt awfull for weeks then day I went into labour which was one day past due date I woke up feeling absolutely fine asif I wasn't even pregnant then labour hit me hard around 5:30 that evening so everyone is different.

I'm obv 5 weeks behind you and honestly since 25 weeks I've been wishing that these weeks would hurry the hell up it drags so much doesn't it. Wishing you look and hopefully you don't have much longer to wait xx

Hi @Pinky8383 - I'm 36+3 and feeling exactly as you describe. It's grim. I'm just grateful I finished work yesterday so, bar some social commitments, I can rest up when not feeling well - hope you're the same?

I'm a bit worried DH thinks I'm just being moany and lazy . . . 😣

Aw sorry to hear that @RedPandaFluff😕 The countdown is definitely on lol! Yeah I'm finished work now too thank goodness although rest is not allowed with a crazy 4 year old on the loose too😳 Hope you manage to enjoy some of this work free time before baby arrives xx😊

37+1 today and the labour can't come soon enough as far as I am concerned. I totally had enough of this. I am heavy, swollen, have constant backache. lightening crotch which combined with SPD makes everything 'so much better' plus baby seems to enjoy vertical stretching where she simultaneously presses my stomach with her legs and my pelvis with her head giving me the immense pleasure of heartburn/nausea AND pelvic pain. I can barely move anymore.

37 + 2 here and having the exact same! Lighting crotch, heart burn, restless legs, pelvic pain etc. Would love to sleep more than 2 hours at a time (although this may be baby training me for when he's here). I hope it eases off for all of us soon! Hang in there ladies.

37+a few here too, and feel the same. Wide awake bloody uncomfortable and wishing the end is nigh! Thanks to pgp & baby being low I can feel like my cervix is on fire at times - but I’ve felt like this for weeks so know it’s not meaningful! Hope you’re getting some sleep OP. Xx

Literally could have written that myself! I’ll be 37 weeks on Wednesday and I cannot do an additional 2 weeks of this, I’m praying baby comes early but will probably be late and dreading it!
I’m struggling to move with pgp! Sitting upright is painful, lying down is painful, walking hurts.
I have to take paracetamol every night now to be able to sleep as it’s just too painful ‘down there’ to lie on my side. With the lightning crotch and baby pressure. Waking up every hour or so (hence the time I’m writing on here lol).
So I feel your pain! I hope these babies arrive soon 😩!

37 weeks here and feeling like shit too. I do remember with my first I woke up and felt 'off' all day- I nipped to the shop early in the morning as I was worried I wouldn't make it later on. I had contractions that I thought were Braxton Hicks then my waters broke that night!

This time I've had plenty of Braxton Hicks and terrible period pain type back ache but no sign of labour yet! Cannot wait to give birth this time around.

Also feel like baby's head is about to fall out every time I go to the toilet or squat down!

Seems a lot of us feeling the same😮 Today I attempted to build our bouncer and swing....my word that was a mistake! Literally couldn't get up off the floor 🤦🏻‍♀️ Tightenings seem to be getting more frequent and walking far is near enough impossible so staying put from now on apart from the school run! Hope these babies start making appearances soon and that these symptoms ease🤞🤞 xx

Last shift tomorrow cannot wait!!! Fed up for shuffling bent over in pain after being sat at my desk for hours.

Oh no Pinky! I've tried to avoid floor sitting as its near impossible to get back up! I feel you should get reusable bars to go on all walls once you hit the third trimester to help with that!

Anyone else with the none stop acid even after water?

Aneley · 03/12/2019 03:14

Me, especially in the evening. A sip of sparkling water sometimes helps. Sometimes only a pinch of bicarbonate in a sip of plain water.

On top of everything - I am now proud owner of haemorrhoids which I never had before and were not caused by constipation as that is ONE thing I didn't struggle with in pregnancy. Slowly going nuts.

In the same boat and starting to feel increasingly frustrated as more of the things I love to do get further out of my reach through pain, tiredness or sheer size! Thoroughly bored of the gymnastics and discomfort of turning over in bed every hour from hip pain or needing to get up to use the loo!

Report
Pinky8383 · 03/12/2019 19:36

@WorldEndingFire couldn't agree more! I don't know why I look forward to going to bed as like you say it's a full on work out every night just trying to move then up and down every hour for a wee!! Not really very restful 🤦🏻‍♀️😳🤦🏻‍♀️

@MoominKitty hope your last shift went well! Yes no more floor sitting for me, it was not a pretty sight trying to get up again lol! Bars would definitely be the way forward lol xx👌

I need to have shares in gaviscon and milk I tell you! I have GERD anyway so this has just been constant!

Last day went well, had a little cry when home though as I'll miss my colleagues but it will be nice to relax now!

I have gotten resigned to the fact I am now and elephant seal if I need to roll over in bed, get up or sit down, I'm just lucky my partner is more than happy for me to use him as a frame haha.

Only 33+4 here and I am exhausted now. I want it over already, I’m having weekly scans as they think my placenta is struggling so baby could come early but the stress and worry is wearing me thin.

I keep getting a shooting pain in my cervix(I think it’s my cervix) and I’m achey all over, I’ve woken up today with what feels like an ache in my bum so not sure if baby’s got her head down further and is pressing on my bowel or what but it’s achey and I don’t like it. Hurry up January ☹️

WorldEndingFire · 05/12/2019 10:29

@sexlessboulderbelly that sounds extremely tough. Worth asking them what the indicators are and what the research says as sometimes these things are made to sound far scarier than they are (e.g. babies measuring big for dates that are so often not as big as predicted!). Hope that you can find some things that get the oxytocin flowing for you to make things more relaxed and comfortable.

The shooting pain could be something people call "lightning crotch" but probably worth mentioning to your midwife.

Hope everything progresses well for you.

Well I've taken to the ball today hoping it might move things along a bit 🤞🤞 @SexlessBoulderBelly sorry to hear you're feeling so bad already! Hope it starts to ease soon😊

Hi All!
How is everyone feeling?
I’m still the same, sick of being in pain and feeling like Mr Blobby!
Does anyone have any experiences of Sweeps? The only reason I ask is that I’m a FTM and I gather I’ll be offered one at 40 weeks. Problem is I won’t get a 40 week appointment or a 41 week appointment as it’s Christmas Day and New Years Day, so I’ll have to wait to see someone now until 42 weeks. The thought of waiting until then is killing me. So I wondered if I could request one at 39 weeks instead? Anyone know?

Pinky8383 · 07/12/2019 11:51

Hi @TTc2019BabyNo1 I would imagine if you're 40 weeks on Xmas day they would maybe try and get you in a few days before for your sweep. I don't think they'll wait until 42 weeks to see you as some places only leave you til 41 before induction, I know my hospital does. I would just ring up and ask to make sure they've got time to get you in before Xmas. Good luck anyway and hope you start feeling better soon! I'm 38 weeks on Monday with my second and tempted to ask for a sweep at my appointment on Friday lol! Just want this baby here now 😳

@Pinky8383 thank you! I’ve called the non-urgent number and left a message. I wasn’t sure who to call but hopefully the hospital can help. My midwife and Gp seem a bit useless tbh!
I’m 38 on Wednesday but won’t get a 38 week appointment as no midwife clinic that week 🙄!
Good luck with your appointment on Friday! Do they do sweeps there and then or do you need to book and go to hospital?

Pinky8383 · 07/12/2019 14:03

Yeah they just did it at my midwife appointment last time (that was at 40 weeks though) although I know a couple of people who are having their second and requested at 38 weeks and managed to get it so it's worth a try. Hope you hear something back from them so at least you know one way or the other to put yourself mind at rest! It's all just a waiting game at this stage isn't it! 🤦🏻‍♀️ @TTc2019BabyNo1
