Why would it be a no? When I was pregnant I would have avoided undercooked meat or fish etc but you would have had to prize my cold dead hands from a salad bar!

I don't see why you couldn't eat that? There really isn't much you're advised to avoid during pregnancy.

I cant see any reason why you would have to avoid them. Theres nothing in the nhs guidelines to suggest they are in any way risky. So I would go for it.

@Atlasta the mayo will be commercially made stuff so I wouldn't worry, it's going to basically be the stores own brand stuff same as on the shelf, most likely, which is fine.

I avoid food where I don’t know how long it’s been sat out for. Some countries (US) recommend avoiding pre-prepared salads. Listeria related I think.

I’d avoid it based on the number of sneezers and fingerers I see hanging around those salad bars but that’s no different to pre-pregnancy Grin

Hmm but aren't deli things a no no. So I would have to avoid things with meat in? Something to do with not knowing how long it's been sat there?

I'm talking about the self service scoop bit.

I am very happy to be told I have been given bad advice 😋😋

By deli meats they mean things that have been cured rather than cooked like chorizo or Parma ham. And those are fine if cooked through.
