Moxibustion - does it reek?

Ok I'm probably getting boring now. Baby still breech. Scan tomorrow. Managed to get hold of some moxa sticks for a DIY treatment.

Will it stink out my house? Should I do it out in the garden? [chilly emoticon]

Am I the only one mad enough to try it then?

I've got them, Ceolas - am doing it every evening after getting them from an acupuncturist. She did the first session so I could see how she did it. Doesn't smell awful in my opinion - er, smells like hash... Though I've started to do it in the garden since the weather has been drier. You just need to be sure that you're getting the right pressure point (bladder 67 - or is it 69??) by pointing the sticks about an inch away from your little toes (about 3 mm in towards the nail from the edge). Hmm, sorry, complicated instructions - just ask if you want clarifying!

I started it late (at 36 weeks) but def felt more activity during and after it. But baby still breech at 38 + 5 Hey, did I suggest that you try a bag of frozen peas on your bump? Mine went mental when I tried and I reckon if my placenta wasn't anterior (on the front) it would have felt it even more. Lie flat and give it a go (steel yourself!!). I've been in touch with Mary Cronk, btw, about the options I've been offered at the hospital and am seeing a senior midwife this pm. If you want to have a longer conversation about it all, let me know and I'll see if I can get you my email address...

Thanks Annie. Had my scan this morning which confirms baby is in fact cephalic! Think it has been this way all along though. Nothing feels any different to me and I never felt the baby turn at any point.

Really keeping my fingers crossed that yours flips round
