Awww squiggle! Ours is munchkin or jelly bean!

I'm so hungry still and craving carbs galore! Need to get this under control as still wanna lose little of my own body fat as I'm obese :/

What kinda things you snacking on?? Fruit makes me acidy xx

@LaurenSl @foreverthe2ww2
I know! We normally call baby jelly bean too as we go by the weekly size of it as it grows. ❤️❤️❤️

But on the screen today baby literally looked like a squiggle. So we've now changed it.

I'm snacking on things like yogurt, fruit, fried fruit, and the occasional ginger biscuit. Smoothies and crackers too. It's hard with snacks as I have to be in the mood for something haha

Although baby is loving peanut butter at the moment! Xxx

ah loving the nicknames, I say either babs or bambino.

@LaurenSI just be careful not to stress yourself out over losing weight, as long as you eat healthy foods then how much you eat of it is less of a problem but obviously everything in moderation at the same time.

snacks; nuts, fruit, cottage cheese with cut up apple, hummus with vegetables to dip, snacking on raw veggies generally is great too you dont have to have a dip. dates are great, soups a good snack and stick to wholemeal bread (white bread is bleached and will spike your insulin)

generally if its fresh from a tree bush or the ground then you cant go wrong, if its packaged then generally its no good as most things packaged (even already cut up veggies in a bag have a gas added to help preserve the veggies for longer) then it will have something added to aid with preserving it. it depends how far you want to go with it, in reality only about 10% of whats in a supermarket is actually good for you, so basically just the fruit and veg isle .. but even then the blueberries are not natural ( its quite interesting if you google it, blueberries are actually very small and only come from a certain area in the world) so most blueberries are "manufactured" .. its mind boggling how much we are lied to when it comes to food you just would not believe! ... rant over :) haha

@HayzCo hello! Glad we've all made it over now. Yes I'm very pleased. I feel like a weight has been lifted now

Yay! You'll be the same
dates as me when u go for ur scan

Is yours an internal scan? Mine was. Lady was lovely though. Made me feel so comfortable. You can also get her to work your dates out more accurately with baby's measurements xxx

@LaurenSl I'm obese too! Don't worry about it too much. You'll naturally lose a little anyway as you start to go off foods etc

I've lost 3lbs! Xx

I'm not planning on losing loads just a little and then not gaining extra fat fat if that makes sense throughout. I'll be a whale as my whole family turn massive when pregnant!

I'm doing ok - cold is better but such an achy back today.

I'm also having a lot of anxious thoughts about losing the wee one - don't know why - just struggling to feel positive today! Xxx

@LaurenSl oh hunny try not to panic. I know exactly how you feel about the worry. When I saw the bleeding I felt sick. But try to relax. You have your scan very soon and it will put you at ease. Take your folic acid and vitamin d help baby to get strong. Rest when you need to don't over do it xxxxx

@LaurenSI yea I know what you mean with the fat fat ha. .. aw no :( maybe hormones are playing with your thoughts a little? .. do you like calming meditating type music? on youtube they have hour long positive thought type tracks, so maybe you could pop some headphones on and listen to something like that on the sofa or in bed with your eyes closed? xx

It will soon fly past ladies. We will be here talking about how over due we are soon enough and sharing our birthing stories. These first 12 weeks will fee like the longest weeks ever but we have each other to help us get thru as well as our partners and friends and family.
It's mad none of us actually know each other yet we are all checking on each other everyday and already have a little friendship going. I love it. Thank you girls for all your support so far ❤️❤️ xxx

yes it is lovely isnt! it formed so naturally, its a great little online support network and super helpful because only other pregnant women fully understand each other and have the patients to listen to each other, anyone not pregnant or male may get a little bored of pregnant talk Grin

Thanks ladies!! I promptly had wee cry then fell asleep on sofa for 3 hours oops!!

Think a lot of it is hormones! I'm also a total control freak and pregnancy (well and kids!) I have little control over! So I'm struggling!

I think I may go for private scan next weekend - found company with fab rep and it's £50! May just settle my mind down a little! X

Bella5757 · 07/02/2019 07:00

@LaurenSl I know what you mean. I like to be able to control a situation and the thought of this and not having an control over the pregnancy or labour is scary the hell out of me. If someone gave me the baby. Ready made baby I'd be fine. It's just the growing it and pushing it out BlushBlush
If it makes you feel better to have the scan hunny do it. £50 is such a good price. I would have thought it would have been more. After having my scan I do feel more reassured that baby is in there and growing healthy and I feel better that I saw the little heart beat.

I'm also aware that anything could happen so I'm still willing my 12 week scan to come so we are ok the same zone. But honestly my mind is so much more relaxed. I'd say do it xxxxx

Oh my word I've just had an extreme case of bad smell making me gag hahaha

I've just had to put the bins out today for collection. We have a food recycling bin. Well taking that out and the smell of that oh my word. I managed to get it out into the main bin at the front of the house however when I tried to go back into the kitchen to put a fresh bag into the box the smell of it hit me and I gagged so much I almost felt sick

That's the first experience of exaggerated smell I've had ConfusedConfused
