vaginal discharge can increase..........as you're approaching labour??? (See did warn you there'd be TMI )

Just I've noticed the last few days or so that I seem to have more discharge than normal, doesn't smell, I'm not sore or itchy and it's clear/white so don't think it's an infection of any description.

Just been googling (as one does when faced with these questions ) and quite a few websites say that vaginal discharge can increase as labour approaches.......

Yes, I've found that, and you sometimes get a pinky discharge when your 'plug' comes out.

didn't have it with the DS's - but then I had sponataneous rupture of the membranes with both of them - and a CS with DS1 (no labour at all) and was induced with DS2.........so it's all a bit new to me .

Infact even though they gave me 3 days to go into labour when my waters broke with DS2 my cervix didn't change at all LOL.

I presume then - like if you have a show, that it can still be a week (or more) before anything actually happens.............(she says hopefully given that DS2 is still VERY spotty with the chickenpox LOL).

I think more discharge is normal in general in late PG, I don't think it's a symptom that you are about to go into labour in the very very near future.

I've had increasingly heavier discharges since about the middle of the 2nd trimester. I'm 35 weeks now and still get them. So it's not necessarily a sign of labour, or my dd2 is really taking her time
