How many mm were you between 5-7 weeks pregnant?

I went for an early scan last Thursday 05/04/18 and I measured at 2.48 mm. I was just wondering how many weeks that seems to be from experience and how many mm you were between 5-7 weeks?

In my book it said 2.5mm at 6 weeks so that sounds spot on!

Oh that is so reassuring Rachie! I have been feeling so anxious. Hopefully by my next scan my little dot will have grown even more so! X

See when I have been looking online, many people have said they're around that size so I do feel like I am way to small to be 6 weeks. According to my EDD from my last period I should be 7weeks now. So I feel like maybe I should book in for another scan just so I feel at ease and maybe see how far along I am exactly!Xx

I was 8mm at 6+5. Did they not tell you how far along your measurement would make you?

3.6mm today at 5+6. Please don’t worry though - the sonographer is measuring something absolutely tiny and 3 dimensional on a 2 dimensional image so a bit of variation is perfectly normal.

Yes she said roughly 6 weeks but not a very clear date. I am worried because I have looked online at other people's measurements and how far along they are and their measurements are much bigger than mine with similar dates. So that's why I am worrying... I may try and get another scan soon as just to ease my mind!

Mine was 1.15cm at 7+2

Mine was 2mm at 6+2. And then they grow 1mm every day. I'm 14 weeks now and all is perfect xx

I wouldn’t worry about the size at this stage. At six weeks I was measuring small at 9mm but at 12 weeks I’m now measure a whole week bigger than I should be. I think they play catch up in the early stages. Xx

Thanks for the reassurance! I'm just in absolute panic mode due to having a MC 2 months ago. Think I need a spa weekend just to take the edge off Grinxx

Hi!
I think some replies might be the fetal pole and some about the gestational sac. How many weeks were you and was it the gestational sac or fetal pole.

My gestational sac at 5+2 was 5mm as it was too early to see a fetal pole

Thanks ladies

Hi dark star,

Was it the fetal pole or the gestational sac. I thought 5 w6 was too early to see a fetal pole unless you are ahead of the dates!

Thanks

My gestational sac was 4.6mm at 5w6d, sonographer gave me the 5w6d :)

@Sunflower2018 I had a scan last week and was told the embryo measured 7mm and so she dated me as 6.5 - 7 weeks.

I've read that after 6 weeks the baby grows a lot faster so before 6 weeks is super tiny ❤️

Perhaps I was just very early! I have a private scan booked for Tuesday so fingers crossed there's more growth! X

@sunflower I was the same as you 2.48 at 6w4d so she's said I was probably more like 5w5d which doesn't add up with my conception date. I'm not going again till 12 weeks.

However early scans are notoriously inaccurate...and the dates provided often don't mean a lot as when you get to 12 weeks scan the baby is medically fully formed so they know what it should or shouldn't look like. Early scans are not routine and there isn't enough data to provide solid averages. This thread in itself shows the massive variation for each mum as the week by week growth is unique to each of us.

I'm sure you have nothing to worry about, but good luck and enjoy the scan xx

As I lost my last one at around 8/9 weeks I am just going for reassurance. I know that anything could happen between that scan and the next but just for a bit of peace of mind I am going. Fingers crossed there is still a heartbeat! I'll keep you updated! Xx

To be fair I'd have one every week if I could! Even with 2 mcs the NHS wouldn't do an early scan unless I start to bleed, so I went private. But so far I've got further than than the others and I'm feeling good. Steady growing symptoms, bit if uterus pain now and again but not cramping.

Good luck tomo - hope you see the heartbear and get a good pic x

@Decemberbaby1 sorry just seen your question. It was definitely the fetal pole, she pointed out the heartbeat and everything. The sac was much bigger.

Good news! Everything seemed as it should at a 9 week scan with a good heartbeat! Now the wait for the 12 week scan x
