I'm worried I'll have a big baby

My dd was 7lb 10 but so so tiny. She fitted in the tiny baby size with loads of room still. But because I couldn't eat during the pregnancy, i had to keep having emergency growth scans. With an anterior placenta I couldn't feel her etc.
Im 33w with ds. An I have an anterior placenta again and I can feel him really well. His movements and I can feel where his bum and head is (pointed out by midwife). He's measuring 33w on the fundal measurement but I'm worried with how well I can feel him he will be HUGE. like 10lb. I don't care as long as he's healthy but I want to keep him healthy and have a smooth delivery as my dd is going to be 11 months old and i want the labour to ideally be quick to get back for her and have him home and comfort him.
Anyone else feel like they're having a big baby or felt like they were?

I’ve had two babies and both were big (just under 10lbs) and it’s nothing to worry about. I was concerned with my second but I was up and about minutes after giving birth to go bring him to see his big brother in the next room. Ladybits intact with just a little grazing.

Don’t worry, big babies really aren’t as scary as you’d think, plus if one was 7lbs chances are the second will be closer to 7lbs than 10lbs

I think it's a c section worry for me. I'm terrified of it and especially staying in the hospital after. Especially as my hospital is really bad for the aftercare.
My cousins baby has to be c sectioned as she was too big and she actually contracted sepsis and stayed in for 11 days :o
I'm just hoping delivery is smooth as it can be. With dd I was almost c sectioned because she got stuck and we both got tired and couldn't do it. But I pushed through.. Literally

I was advised that it's not the size that makes a delivery painful it's all about the position of the baby.

My little lady ended up 9lb 1oz and I only used gas and air and breathing techniques I learnt during a hypnobirthing course.

If fundal measurement is 33w just means he is right on track as should measure 2cm either side of how many weeks you are so between 31-35cm so slap bang in the middle so doesn't sound huge
I'm 31wk+3 I can regularly feel little ones butt trying to escape out my right hand side but is just the position she is in, super curled up in lower part of tummy. Had fundal measurement done yesterday as was at 30cm so 1cm below average but last appointment I was 1cm over. It's so subjective how they do the measurement anyway
Do you get to have a growth scan? We get one as standard at 36wks where I live so that would give you slightly more info. To go from a 7ish lb baby to 10lb one this time isn't overly likely unless you go overdue

Ultimately we can't do anything to change how they are growing so just got to go with flow and just focus on growing a healthy baby :)

It's very unlikely unless you have undiagnosed GD this time. It's rare for babies to be vastly different in size. Usually second babies are on average only 4-5 oz bigger than first ones, so by that he won't be huge at all. I can feel my 2nd much more than my first (she was 6lbs 9 oz). I think our bodies are just used to it. Anyway, GD aside, you won't make a baby you can't birth just fine, so I would try not to worry about it. I have a friend whose first was 10lbs and her second was 11lbs something (she's thin and tiny). She had him perfectly naturally without even a tear.

Agreed it's much more to do with position, yours and babies. Be upright, moving around, squatting to push/on all fours with one leg out in front or to the side vastly increases the size of your pelvis. So aim to do all that and be mobile and you'll be fine.

My second baby was 3lbs heavier than my first and just popped out easily, he arrived at 4am and I was home for lunch. Try not to worry, it's normal to feel second babies more and I'm sure you'll be fine.

@Gigimoll I ate loads in my last pregnancy was my daughter was 6 and a half pounds! This time I'm measuring 1cm (a week behind) so pretty much the same as you so I expect my next will be a similar size (she hopes). Just keep doing what your doing and honestly I cant see you having a 10 pound baby if your last was 7 Smile

Measurements and scans are a guestimation so try not to worry too much. My DD's weight went up by a big jump of 1 pound between two scans and I was totally freaked out. The next scan was done by a different sonographer (my regular sonographer during my pregnancy) and was back to the original growth curve. As it happened, DD was just less than a pound lighter at birth than predicted at the appointments by my regular sonographer.
