I lost just under 2 stone due to severe sickness. I'm 40+1 now and have put on 6lb in total, so I will be slimmer when baby is born. I have always been overweight and was expecting to put on lots as love food and am not keen on exercise. You never know what will happen. I have no appetite. My face, arms and legs are very slim now and I'm all bump.
My friend was a size 8 and has put on 4.5 stone in pregnancy. She had pre eclampsia too and put on a stone very quickly at the end when she got very ill. She's a size 14/16 now.

37 weeks here and have put on 8lb so far from my pre pregnancy weight. First trimester I lost 1 stone from sickness and not eating. I was 10 stone to start with.

Now 22 weeks and put on 1.5 stone.
Eating loads to keep nausea / dizziness away. Used to be very active pre-pregnancy but hardly exercising now due to nausea / exhaustion.
Was a size 8 pre-pregnancy.

35 weeks and put on 12lbs, I've lost a few lbs over the last few weeks so I don't expect to gain anymore than this.

Overall in a healthy pregnancy, if you started with a healthy BMI, you are advised to put on between 25 and 35 pounds. If you are overweight to begin with you are advised to only put on 15-25 pounds. These are the weight gains that give optimum outcomes for your baby.
During the first trimester, they say anything from 1-5 pounds. Obviously these are the nhs guidelines, and there will be variation if people have severe morning sickness.
Personally, I am 20 weeks and have put on 8 pounds(only 2 during the first trimester as I felt nauseous for several weeks). My BMI was 24 at the start of pregnancy.
If you are worried about your weight gain, there is an online calculator on the baby centre web site. It plots a graph, using your starting weight, and shows you whether you are gaining within the right range.

I lost 3lbs by 12 weeks. No sickness just off food. In between 14 weeks and the end (42 weeks) I put over 3 stone on.

I probably lost 1/2 stone both times in the first trimester. Put on a total of 1 1/2 stone from my pre pregnancy weight, I was slightly overweight both times.

Managed to get back down to pre pregnancy weight after 2 years with the first one, 2nd DC is nearly 4 and I'm actually heavier than I was at 40 weeks pregnant Sad

7 weeks and have lost 3-4 kilos so far. Hyperemesis. Pre-pregnant weight was about 60kg with a BMI around 22 so hoping not to lose too much more but have hyperemesis so struggling.

I don't think my weight changed in 1st trimester in either pregnancy. I was quite overweight this time in comparison to last time - bmi gone up to 26 - so I'm pretty keen not to gain too much. I've probably put on about 8lbs so far i think. Maybe a bit more from christmas excess!

I didn’t put on any weight during the first trimester as I had horrific sickness. Since 17 weeks until now (35 weeks) I’ve put on 2 stone.

I was huge by the end of each pregnancy, I put on 3 to 5 stone with each of them!

I did lose it all and get back to being decently fit between each child thankfully or I’d be a ten ton Tessie now as I’ve got 3 DCs.

I always held onto 7/8 lbs until I stopped feeding though. However those pesky 7lbs seem to have crept back on now and my youngest is 5 so I don’t think I can use that excuse. It’s just my biscuit baby BiscuitGrin

35lbs by week 37 when baby arrived. That was equivalent to more than a quarter of my normal weight and I could definitely tell the difference when climbing stairs!

@Pinkponiesrock thank god someone else came in saying this. I could have written your post word for word and the struggle to lose the last of it whilst feeding. I'm 12 days op with my second and Iv put on 4st I should lose it but imagine il struggle with the last bit again until I'm finished feeding.

My first trimester I lost each time due to sickness then it goes tits up from there.

@Mustang27 no worries, I found it so frustrating that I couldn’t get it to budge with my first 2 but by number 3 I knew the score!

Apparently it’s some ancient primal reaction, your body holds onto a bit of fat just in case you’re suddenly hit by famine, or a lack of tea and biscuits in my case Wink, and you’ll still able to feed your little one.

I’m sure it’ll quickly come off for you, but snuggling up with that tiny little bundle is all that really matters at the moment.

I was the same as you, so good until about half way then f* it and ate all the food Blush, like 5 creme eggs! Especially when I can’t really deal with lactose, my own worst enemy!
