Miscarriage?

So I i confirmed pregnant around 5 weeks. On Thursday I woke up feeling wet (sorry if tmi) and found bright red blood in my knickers and was having heavy bleeding. I phoned the go who said they won't scan before 6 weeks. He said to wait one week and do a pregnancy test. The bleeding was still heavy yesterday with clots when I went to the toilet. Overnight it has almost stopped and now very light, no cramping. Had anyone else had this and what was the outcome? I'm also having backache but was having this prior to the bleeding. I'm now in limbo for a week and terrified I have had miscarriage..

I was further along (11weeks) but I had similar and sadly it was confirmed to be a mc.
If it is heavy and clots, it does seem that it can happen very fast.
The other alternative is that you have a hematoma which has burst causing the bleeding but is likely to mean you're still pregnant .
Unfortunately I don't think there's anything you can do in the meantime.

i'm sorry this is happening but if it's really heavy bleeding could you not go up to A&E they may just check? i don't know but trying to help
