How organised are you??

I'll be 26 weeks on Saturday and feel completely behind with preparation for the baby.
I am normally a very organised person who plans everything down to the last detail but all we've bought so far is the pram/ car seat/ carrycot, a few bits of clothing & a Moses basket.
Time is flying by and feel like there's so much more we need to do (including starting on the nursery!)
Should I start to get a move on or am I worrying unnecessarily?

You are definitely panicking unneeded but it is normal. Your baby won’t be sleeping in the nursery until they are at least 6 months old. I remember panicking at 39 weeks that the nursery was not ready but my DD is 18 months old and all her nursey is used for is sorting clothes.

Are going to bf or ff? You need clothes (baby grows, vests and couple of hats and cardigans) cotton wool, nappies, nappy cream, blankets, baby towel is nice, thermometer, room thermometer is also nice to have, a bag to use as changing bag, a pram and/or a sling. Other good thing to have include a play mat and bounce chair.

If baby came early you could order it all from Tesco or amazon prime for it to arrive the next day

I'm 30 weeks and pretty much all we have is clothes! And that's because we've been given so many by other people. No crib/pram/car seat or anything like that as yet. So I think you are doing very well! We are currently clearing out our spare room to make room for all the baby purchases but aren't going to decorate or furnish it for the baby to sleep in until baby is nearer the age of actually sleeping in there.

I am 26 weeks tomorrow and I have a bag of various clothes from 0-6 months. No pram, no car seat, no cot or anything else to sleep in. Planning on getting most of what I need in the Boxing Day sales Grin

I am the same stage as you.
Our nursery is currently the 'junk room' - no pram, some nappies and samples of bum cream. Some clothes from previous baby.
No pram, moses basket etc.
Can't remember from last time what we need, and we threw t all out as there were not going to be any more babies.
You've got ages, it's fine.

I wouldn't get a room thermometer, we were given two last time, and I got obsessed with the temperature. You can feel if it is hot or cold.
You will probably get given toys etc, so that is taken care of.

I'm 34 weeks and We had bought all the big things a few weeks after the 20 week scan so we were extremely organised. I just need to pick up the some more nappies, a few bibs and the little things like that. Other people have got a few things For us too which helps massively. You still have plenty time so don't panic 😊

I'm 31 weeks and there's damp in baby's room, there's also all the contents of our kitchen and new kitchen units. Our house has no carpet and our basement is a building site with massive holes in floor for new steel work. Have nothing due baby. Oh my god. It's a nightmare.

I really wouldn't worry about it, you still have ages to get organised. I just gave birth last week and still don't feel we have everything we need, but lots of supermarkets are open 24/7 and there's always Amazon Prime so anything we do really need is literally a click away. You will also get a lot of gifts, and most visitors have asked if we need anything brought over so you can always put an order in with friends and family.

I’m 20 weeks and not planning on getting anything until after 30 weeks probably. We have just bought a wreck of a house and are literally living in a building site. What will be the baby’s room is currently a makeshift kitchen! You sound like you’re well ahead OP!
