Shaky/vibrating fetal movement

Has anyone else experienced this? I’m currently 28+3 and although I’ve noticed this a couple of times before, in the last 24 hours I’ve had at least 3 shaky, vibrating kind of movements that last about a second. 2 when lying down on my side. Baby is still moving lots as well. Is this something to be concerned about or is this normal?

I had this too. Not sure what on earth it was but it happened when I was having a scan at 30wks and I said to the midwife and sonographer and they didn't seem concerned at all!!

Might still be worth mentioning it at your next appointment x

Yes I had this but couldn't work out what it was

It's happened quite a lot with mine. I always thought it was shivers despite him being lovely and warm in there.
No idea either what it is but they do really odd movements so as long as your baby isn't moving less you should be ok 😊

I had this first time but not this time. Best explanation I found was that it's the baby putting pressure on a nerve somewhere that makes it feel like vibrations.

Found loads of threads where people said it was just kicks in quick succession. It definitely isn't that, definitely a vibration

I'm 24 weeks and have had this the past few days. I figure baby is just wriggling to get comfy as I actually have no idea what's going on.

Thanks all, it just seems like such an odd movement in there that I got worried! Glad others experience it & seems to be nothing to worry about!!

I get those ones that feel like shivers. Sometimes ones that feel like baby has jolted awake like you would out of a bad dream.

Baby might have hiccups!

I’ve felt hiccups a few times quite noticeably, it’s more like shivers, or like a woodpecker - a weird vibration!

I had this - it felt weird. I didn’t ask the midwife about it, worried a little bit, had the baby and she’s fine. But always ask the midwife if you’re concerned.

It’s 3 weeks until my next appointment so trying to figure out if I should get in contact, but then if baby is still moving about lots as usual I suppose it’s fine for now?

I really don't think it's anything to worry about. If your that concerned phone your midwife!
