Hello all,

I'll keep this as brief as possible. At our 20 week anomaly scan we were told that our baby's head was measuring very small. All her measurements were below average (I'm petite and was expecting this - DS was always quite small) but her BPD and HC were off the scale. We were referred for a growth scan at 24 weeks which I've just had. Her head is still tiny but "consistently" tiny according to the midwife, and everything else looks good - but she has referred us to a consultant who I will see in 3 weeks time.
Three weeks feels like an eternity. I'm terrified there is something seriously wrong with baby. Have any of you been in a similar situation, and had a positive outcome?! I really wish I'd asked more questions while I was having the scan. Would it be unreasonable to call the midwifery liason team or will I just come across as neurotic and time-wasting?

Many thanks if you read all that! x

My baby also had a very small head at 28 weeks and it grew but remained small until the birth. Her head was 2nd-9th centile when she was born and overall she was 50th centile.
Now she is 3 and her head is perfectly normal. I think her position in my pelvis restricted growh in utero. She is a bright happy little thing, no issues.
Hope you hear reassuring news from the consultant
