Partner's symptoms fading

Hi there.

My partner is 10 weeks 3 days pregnant, and we're to have our scan in 10 days' time. Excited but nervous, naturally!

Anyway, she's had lots of tiredness and hunger in the first 10 weeks but she's starting to worry as she isn't feeling as hungry as she was, and she's been googling (big mistake) and is now worried that she may not be pregnant.

I've been trying to reassure her that the symptoms are known to ware off as we head into the second trimester; is that a fair comment? Is there anything else to reassure her?

Thanks!

Yes, symptoms often disappear as you enter the second trimester. You can't know anything for certain. Just hold on, stay healthy and wait for the scan really.

Take a pregnancy test. I didn't have any symptoms in the first or second trimester.

10 weeks is typically the time when symptoms wane or even fully disappear before coming back with a vengeance for a last hurrah as you go into the second trimester.

At week 10, I always had about a week or two 'holiday' from sickness and other symptoms. Then it would all come back by 12 weeks and sail off for good around 14 weeks. Try not to worry. I know it's difficult not to. But it's quite normal to have a short breather. Best of luck!

This time im 2 days off week 11 and after sever nausea (as in tableys an all from dr) the nausea has eased in 2 days to almost nothing...
Worried as i also no longer feel bloated, worse im worried my worring isnt helping bubs if they are still there...
Advice please (scan in 9 days illl be 13 weeks)

Every one of my symptoms disappeared for 4 or 5 days at 9 weeks then all of a sudden came back before gradually getting a bit better. Very common, and quite natural to have a panic but all you can really do is wait for the scan.

Thanks everyone.

Yes, keen just to wait for the scan. Just wanted to reassure my partner over the next 10 days so she doesn't over-worry!

Seems fairly normal for symptoms to wane then? Thanks.
