Pregnancy

Panicking it might be twins

This is my third pregnancy, I'm 36. I feel much more nauseous than the previous two times, and have no appetite, whereas other times I was starving. I also look huge, I'm only six weeks pregnant but look at least 10/12 weeks, which again is really unlike other two (girls). I'm having a panic that we ll be going from 2-4 children, and wondering how I'll cope. Girls at the moment are two and four.

I had twins when DD1 was 1. It was chaos but now it's fab.

Your symptoms could well be twins but might not be. You'll only know for sure at your scan. Either way, you'll be fine. Honestly, you will Flowers

I wasn't sick at all with my twins, but by god was I hungry (actually near convinced myself I had worms).

Going from 2 to 4 is pretty easy, much easier than from 1 to 2.

The only known right now, is that you are indeed pregnant, whether that be one, two or three. When us your scan? Don't panic before then, all will be good!

mrssampras - snap. My situation is exactly the same as yours, except I am starving. I can't stop eating. Much more nausea this time (none with my girls, 4&2) and I feel huge. I'm 9w.

Maybe we're having boys this time?!

Thanks ladies. Good luck speckyb, your scan mustn't be too far away. My nausea turned into actual vomiting this morning, I obviously escaped lightly last two times

I had much much worse nausea the second time, I was worried about twins, had the scan and there was only one in there Smile
I was quite relieved!

Sorry to hear about the vomiting mrssampras - have you got a scan date yet? 10 weeks today and I'm feeling loads better. No more sickness, just shattered. My scan is two weeks Monday.

When my mum was 3rd time pregnant, it turned out to be twins (me). And she always said its hectic but she got the 4 she wanted quicker , you notice how many BOGOF deals there are and how helpful friends and family are :) xxxx

I'm pregnant with identical twins and absolutely no sickness!

I was sick with all my pregnancies but i sort of knew my 3rd was twins. Everyone was joking about it mainly because I got such an obvious bump by 8 weeks. There was no hiding I was pregnant!

2 to 4 is pretty easy really, first few months are intense. Mine are 5 now and are off out playing together. Gives me more peace than I got when my singletons were 5 and needed me to entertain them.

Twins are a blessing in my opinion, I'm so happy we have them and just feeling unbelievably lucky. I still look at them in awe sometimes, I won't be having any more but if I did I would love twins again

So it wasn't twins! Just the one, but still only 9 weeks, so a while to go yet.

mrssampras - that's a relief! 3 is quite enough for me. I've found out I'm having a boy (I had the Harmony test, now 13 weeks). So I think my different symptoms were due to that. Good luck!
