Anyone is pregnant again after MC? I am!!

Hello ladies,

Last month on the 24th of April I had a miscarriage. It was devastating as it was my first ever pregnancy and as you can imagine oh and I were over the moon when we first found out and never crossed our minds that mc actually happen more often than we imagined... 1 in 4 pregnancies apparently! 😢

During the past month we never really forced tried to conceive and we were pretty chilled about everything - we wanted nature to decide for us. 2 weeks ago I started having some very light bleeding and kind of thought that I would be having my first period but just to be sure decided to do some tests but all came up negative, including the one I had the past weekend.

Today I was feeling really bloated and with some pain in my breasts. Did another test and the negative line was very strong so I put the test away and after 5minutes when I looked again it was showing positive!!! POSITIVE! I mean I am freaking out with happiness but I am also MEGA scared and afraid of another mc.

I will do another test tomorrow just to be sure but I am wondering if anyone here went through any similar situation?

Was your second experience a sticky baby?

Any advice to control this fear and actually enjoy every single moment of the pregnancy?

I must be 2-3 weeks so it's very early days and every time I wipe when I go to the toilet I get a bit of blood... this happened last time too so my mind it's not at ease and can only think about the worst.

Thank you!

Congratulations Flowers

So sorry for your loss, it's a horrible thing to go through.

I had a miscarriage last year at 13 weeks and got pregnant 6 weeks later with this baby. I'm now 37 weeks!
The first few months my anxiety was through the roof, once I'd passed the stage of the miscarriage I slowly felt better as the weeks progressed.

It's really hard to not be anxious, I think it's normal. Best thing you can do is try to have fun things planned to take your mind off the worry.

This is baby number 4 for us (5th pregnancy) and I did bleed with all three of my DCs that are now very lively children. I've learned that bleeding is quite common and not always worst case.

Sorry for your loss it's such a horrible experience. Congratulations on your new pregnancy Flowers Today is exactly 2 years since my mc which was my first pregnancy, and I'm 16 weeks tomorrow so for me it's been a very long wait for my second BFP. I found out at 4 weeks and was very reluctant to contact my go surgery but eventually phoned them when I was 8 weeks along. I totally understand how you feel and the wait until the 12 week scan was so long...but you'll get there and it day by day it gets a little easier. Well I say that... I'm now counting down to my 20 week scan and at times feels so anxious that something isn't right but we just have to take it one day at a time as it's out of our control. Good luck x

@user1495957382 I had a MMC with my first pregnancy on 28th March, I found out a couple of days ago that I am pregnant! I can't give you any advice but I am here to share the journey with you , from someone who is in the exact same position 😊

Thanks so much ladies for sharing your stories with me. I really appreciate!

@poppylou27 Do you feel any different this time? I had some bleeding, especially when I wiped but seems to have stopped now. Did you experience anything like this? X

I haven't yet @user1495957382 but still very early for me, technically 14dpo so only just found out... I feel a little different this time, I was really light headed with the first but don't seem to be getting that this time, I'm not as anxious right at this minute (how I do not know!!) but first time round I was petrified of something going wrong, I feel abit more chilled this time ironically - all subject to change though!!

Mine was so long ago now but I had a miscarriage July 2006. Like you, it was my first pregnancy and I was heart broken. It still is one of the worst things I have ever experienced.

I was pregnant again by the September. I worried throughout the whole pregnancy and analysed every little twinge but my precious baby is 10 on Friday 😊. I also have a 6 year old too.

I have everything crossed for you, I'm sure everything will be fine. Flowers

I just wanted to share a positive story of pregnancy after miscarriage.

Congratulations user1495957382.

I had a miscarriage last year and recently found out I was pregnant again. I had a small amount of spotting and some period pain type cramps over the space of a week. I went for an early scan at 8 weeks convinced it was going to be a repeat of last year only to find everything was fine. They couldn't find any reason for the bleeding. My midwife told me that bleeding isn't normal in pregnancy, although it does happen to some, and should be checked out.

And after my scan I did feel a little less anxious, although I'm still counting down to twelve weeks now xx
