Couple of pregnancy questions :-)

So found out yesterday I'm pregnant with baby number 3 :-) Due December 28th

Just some questions I have as my last pregnancy was 6 years ago so if sort of feels new again

Both my least pregnancies I suffered with hyperemis. Is there anything I can do now to sort of keep the sickness at bay before it hits me like a ton of bricks? Hospitalised both times on more than one occasion last time though I had my children quite close together so back then I didn't have the school run or anything to worry about. They are 7 and 5 now and I want to keep going as much as I can for their sake. My dr did eventually put me on a tablet at the end of my second pregnancy but I can't remember wheat it was called and it did seem to help. It wasn't cyclizine cos that didn't help me at all. I'm just so worried about how poorly I may get

Next question, previous pregnancies were both c sections. First one emergency, second one elective. This will be 6 years ago by the time of the birth - what are the chances of a natural birth? Also I have since been diagnosed with herpes :-( :-( so I don't know if that will affect things too.

Also lastly my partner will get 2 weeks paternity leave but because he has to take 2 weeks annual leave at Christmas - his work place shuts for Christmas - what will happen to his paternity leave? Does he not get it because he is already on annual leave? Or could he take it when he is supposed to go back to work in January?

Don't know about previous questions but for the last one am pretty sure that paternity leave and annual leave are treated separately, so he could add one onto the end of the other xx congrats!

I don't know if it differs from doctor to doctor but mine told me yesterday that if I have a section this time (had an emergency section 4yrs ago) that any more babies would have to be delivered by section. But I have heard so many things by so many doctors I don't know what to believe anymore x

Go to your GP now and talk with them about the hyperemesis. If you had a medication that worked previously (was it ondansetron?) they should get you started back on that ASAP to pre-empt symptoms. The medication will be in your records.

That's exactly what I was hoping for as far as the sickness goes, if I could start taking those tablets now to get them in my system that would be great. I honestly can't remember what it's called though but I have a telephone appointment with my dr on Monday - one of the nicer drs too thankfully so hopefully she will be able to do that for me. I'm only 4 weeks so hopefully have another couple of weeks before the sickness starts x

On the paternity leave front the 2 weeks can be taken within any time up to 56 days after the birth (that is the leave must be finished by day 56) so could easily tag this on to his annual leave

I read magnesium really helps. Cured many who were extreme, worth investigating but i wouldn't try it until you know it's safe etc. I take it for cramps and spd

I took magnesium and b6 when pg with DC2 and I vomited once or twice a week as opposed to X20 a day with DC1.

Maybe there is something in using magnesium after all then!
