Hi All, im 18+4 and this is my first baby. The last few days i feel like ive been feeling the baby move.

Can anyone share their experiences when you first felt your baby and what it felt like?

Im feeling a faint poke type feeling a couple of times a day mostly on the evening. Is it baby?

Sounds like it could be!
I felt flutters at about 17w but no proper wriggles or kicks until 23w.. with twins!

I had the odd little poke and roll at 18/19 weeks. I would not feel anything for hours or days Then a little thump would come out of nowhere. Like ellesbelles it took til 23 weeks or so to feel proper movement. It probably peaked around 30 weeks, now at 34 weeks I feel much smaller rolls and fewer kicks and jabs.

Hi Op, I'm also 18+4 and don't think I've felt any movement yet. I echo what you said about the time between scans, it feels like an eternity! x

I felt what could have been wind except it was in a different place, for a few weeks. First things that could be described as kicks were around the 20 week scan and then, since about 24 weeks, bean has been very very busy, including sometimes making my belly jump!

I felt tiny flutters and movements around 18w but no proper kicks until 22w with an anterior placenta. No one else could feel the kicks until 23 weeks.

At 17 weeks the gynaecologist asked me if I felt any movement and I said I wanted to, but unfortunately no. Then after 3 days I felt like the crack of a very blunt whip during dinner and since then (I'm now in week 22) a lot more prodding and cracking of whips every day, especially in the mornings when I'm lying down.

I felt a feeling like when you have a tick in my pelvis from about 14 weeks with baby 1, and the big kicks to feel to the touch started around 19 weeks xx

Nothing proper until 22 weeks as I had an anterior placenta too. Realised that I might have felt baby before but thought it was bubbles in my stomach!

I felt a poke at 16 weeks, then the odd little scratchy feeling until 19/21 weeks. By 32 weeks I was nearly crying in pain with them :(

I felt flutters/tickling from 17 weeks. At about 21 weeks the movements got stronger and I could feel the baby flip and kick! At 23 weeks my DH could feel them too Grin

I felt a few movements that I wasn't sure were baby or not from 17 weeks ish.... It wasn't until mothers day 21 weeks that I knew it was baby when she repeatedly kicked me in the bladder for 20 mins! Xx
