Lower back pain

Has anyone felt any back pain during pregnancy?

I'm 24 weeks, and have a strong full ache in the lower left of my back.

Currently have a hot water bottle against it but wondering if it's common and if there's any tips for stopping/limiting the pain?

Lower back pain is common as the load on the spine increases through pregnancy, also ligament pain in second trimester is very common. It can also be a sign of urinary tract infections so might be worth asking midwife to dip your urine just incase, and shell be able to advise you accordingly.

Thanks for replying!

Had urine tested yesterday and was clear, so no worries there.

Glad to hear someone say it's normal!
