I am 11+4 and have noticed the past few days a rash forming over my belly. Like tiny red pimples. Its much worse where my bra line sits. Its also starting to become quite itchy. I know about PUPPPS but i thought that was a third trimester thing? I was using lush butter on my belly but stopped a couple of days ago as i thought that was the cause, but its got worse. I have my first scan on Monday 😕

I had this, not on my belly tho. I had it on my arms and it was so itchy! It's fine now it's cleared up was only around for s few days maybe a week.. I used aveno moisturiser(not lotion) and it eased the itch. Hope it gets better x

Do you have a bump already?

Yes, PUPPPS is usually a third trimester complaint. The rash is like nettle rash or hives - red and blotchy, not like you are describing. It affects the forearms and thighs as well as the bump too.

This sounds like it could be an allergic reaction. Possibly to elastic in the bra. Or it could be to the Lush Cream; allergies can continue to get worse for a while after you've removed the allergen. You could try using a tiny bit of hydrocortisone cream on it to see if that eases it - if it does then it's probably an allergic reaction.

Another thing you could try is E45 itch relief cream, that might soothe it.

I would speak to your midwife or doctor if it persists.

Great thanks ladies. I will have a go at aveeno i think. By 'bump' i mean the bulge of my belly. Its defo grown Grin rash goes from bra line to pant line and also round my back. Nothing on arms, legs etc

Aveeno worked a treat for mine but not the lotion that made the itch worse it's in like a hand cream type bottle about £6 but really worth it. It could be the lush lotion.. I became sensitive to so many things I used on a daily basis .. my deodorant being the main one i had a horrible itchy rash under my arms for a week or so it was horrible 🙁 Isn't pregnancy amazing sometimes lol x

I would talk to your midwife just to be sure because I've been told inching in pregnancy can be a rare liver problem

I'd say it's from the original cream you were using. I have very sensitive skin and if I use something I shouldn't it will be fine for a few days until the rash appears. Then even when I stop the rash will continue to develop for another few days. I did this exact thing recently, I didnt realise there was aloe in a cream I was using. The rash on my forearms is only now showing up, 4 days after I stopped using it. Stick to emulsifying creams. E 45 or similar. a heavy cream like Diprobase will help as well. But mind your tummy, I gave myself a horrendous rash exactly where all my bastard stretch marks popped up at 35 weeks with DS1 by using a gifted 'mommy body wash'. Jeekers I had to sleep with a cold wet cloth on my tummy.

Yeah aveeno is best natural and really moisturising Hun I've suffered from eczema all my life and when I was pregnant I had a severe attack of eczema I was hospitalised in my third trimester cause I kept hushed it's best to nip it in the bud 💓
