I hope you don't mind me posting here. Me and my partner have been TTC for 5 months now and the constant negatives are killing me!! I had the implant for 6/7 years and never had a period whilst on it, It took two months for my period to return and it was all over the place for a while, however I'm currently 2 days late?! 2 negative tests and no sign of period yet. Could my implant still be messing with my body?! 😖😖 thank you!!

i was told by my doctor it takes up to 12 months for your body to get back to 'normal' after coming off contraception. I'm sorry this is not much help, or probably what you want to hear. I'm sure it will happen when your body is ready. x

You'd very likely have a positive test by now if pregnant - FRER and nearly all tests are 99.9% accurate on the day of your missed period. Probably your hormones still settling as you said.

I know it's difficult but try and remember that 5 months of trying is nothing really! It's completely normal for it to take around a year to conceive!
Are you using ovulation tests?

I had the injection for about 2 years with no periods whilst on it, after coming off it still no periods for almost a year so doctor put me on a course of the pill to kick my body back into routine! Periods returned but still didn't conceive for few months? If you were very regular before having the implant (which I was) maybe a month of the pill will help things?

Good luck x

We got pregnant on month 7 of trying and it was the first month I have used ovulation tests. I found it really hard to keep track of things because I was the same with my periods, all over the shop having come off the pill after 12 years, the tests were fab! Good luck! X
