So my contractions started at 2.30 this morning. They started at 15 -20 mins apart and stayed that way for 3 hours, then started moving to about 10 mins apart for an hour or so. They then started tailing off back to 18 -20 mins apart. I've been up and moving about and now they are ranging anywhere from 15 mins - 5 mins apart. Intensity is gradually increasing but they seem to be becoming more erratic timing wise. They are consistently lasting from 55 secs - 75 secs each. Anyone else experience similar? Is this normal?

My friends contractions never became regular and the hospital told her not to come on until they were. She was unable to cope with the pain so went in anyway and her dd was born 7 minutes later!
