Hcg level rose by 60% in 48 hours and boobs not hurting today

Hi guys had 2 miscarriages last year so pretty terrified at the moment 😫 I am 5 weeks pregnant today and had very mild cramping last week, so on Friday the carried out hcg test and result was 1275 then 48 hours later they were 2050 so only just 60% rise 😭 I am going to receive a phone call from epu today to discuss results but I don't know what to think??

Also my boobsrecently have been killing me but today they are ok should I be preparing myself for the worst?

They carried out a scan on Friday said everything looks ok but as I was only 4+4 weeks at the time there wasn't much to actually look at

What do u guys think? Xxx

I think that the rise is enough for you to still be pregnant. It does not always double. Symptoms come and go don't they? I think when you are pregnant you naturally worry more and hold on to even the tiniest of issues and it makes you freak out. I would imagine they will tell you that it is all ok. There's not a lot more they can tell from that info at this stage. Good luck 🍀

I think they will probably want to scan you again in 2 weeks. Did they mention anything to you about a rescan. The HCG is rising so that's a good sign. Try to relax and keep yourself settled.

Well spoke to epu and they want to carry out more blood tests she didn't seem overly concerned at first but when I mentioned my boobs have pretty much stopped hurting she said that is not a good sign I'm devastated as I have now started with period type pains and lower back ache and my boobs are perfectly fine

Kelly, honestly that's fine. Your symptoms will come and go. I'm 9 weeks today and have absolutely no symptoms (and never had any)

The doubling occurs every 48-72 hours. 66% would be spot on for 48 hours. Symptoms definitely come and go - that's perfectly normal although hard not to stress about when you've had miscarriages. Period type pains also normal. Fingers crossed for you, these early weeks are hard. X

Good luck. My sore boobs came and went in early pregnancy and I had lots of cramps and aches. I'd had 2 miscarriages and was very paranoid but now nearly 20 weeks. I hope this one works out for you.

If it helps the EPU at my hospital told me yesterday they look for a 60% rise in 48 hours. So you're bang on track if you listen to their criteria of 'normal'. Hope they can reassure you with the further blood tests and think you're right to be trying to stay positive at the moment!!

Really sorry Kelly. It looks like I'm suffering the same fate. My HCG has only a 58% rise in 4 days. Having a scan on Thursday. I am expecting the worse. I really hope yours is a good outcome. X

Kelly and mouse so sorry to see both your updates. I'm in the same situation and know how you will feel (this is number 2 for me).

Keeping everything crossed for good news for us all in the future.

Kelly, sending hugs. It's all over for me. I am having a mmc. Please keep positive. This is just a little hiccup in your road to a baby. I have every faith we will both get there. Please don't give up. You can do this. Xxx
