First time posting on mumsnet! Smile Am just after some advice/reassurance really.. I came off of my contraceptive pill almost 7 months ago and I am now exactly 2 weeks late for AF. This is the first time I have had a late period in years and years, I am normally very regular (28 day cycle) I have done 3 home pregnancy tests but all saying negative. I have been feeling very emotional lately and am almost constantly hungry! (rumbly belly) but I initially put that down to just recently starting a nightshift job? (8pm - 8am 2 nights a week) Hmm
I have never been pregnant before so have nothing to compare with. I have a gp appointment in 10 days time. It's playing on my mind! I would be very happy to be pregnant Smile Any advice or info would be really appreciated. Tia girls! x

You can get false negatives. What sort of test are you using?

I guess it's possible that your cycle is not naturally as regular as you think, if you've been on the pill for years and that has forced you into a regular cycle? It's certainly normal to have some changes in your cycle after coming off the pill.

I know there can be false negatives, but you're not testing early and you've done three separate tests so I don't think you're pregnant, sorry!

I had three negatives before a positive with Dd2

OP how long were you on the pill for? as the pill makes your cycle regular so you can't really include the time you were on pill as when you had a regular cycle. it's also possible that your night shof working maybe be interfering with your cycle. I soils see GP if still no AF or BFP in a week.

Hi guys, my first time posting!!

I'm in a similar situation, I stopped taking pill in July and have been trying for baby since.

The first couple of months my periods were all over but since September my cycle had been between 27&30 days. More 27.

I was due on Tuesday so I'm now 3 days late. I have had cramps but nothing at all like usual period cramps.

I took a test on day I was due on and it was negative is there still. Chance I could still be pregnant?

I don't want to think to much about it and get hopes up but so much easier said then done isn't it!!

Xxx
