Pregnant and still breastfeeding

If anyone has experience of this I'd love to hear. My 21 month old is still really into BFing, I'm ready to stop whenever. I am kinda hoping the taste will change and he'll go right off it.

Specifically:
Did your boobs still get bigger and sore in the 1st trimester?
Did baby/toddler stop because of a change in taste?
Tandemfeeding?!

I know i could wean but i feel lazy about it...plus it's giving DMiL exactly what she wants :P

Hi, my Dd was12 weeks old when I fell pregnant for the 2 nd time. I was exclusively breastfeeding her and didn't know I was pregnant until i was 11 weeks. Her weight did dip slightly and in hindsight this Is probably the reason why. We had no problems continuing with breastfeeding tho and she loved it. She was 12m and 2 weeks when 2nd Dd was born and I even fed her when she came to visit me in hospital. I continued to tandem feed the both of them for a few weeks and only stopped because myself and new born got thrush. The pain was so excruciating I stopped feeding the both of them and switched to exclusive pumping. After 2-3 weeks of pumping I switched back to breastfeeding but older Dd wasn't really interested so eventually stopped on her own accord. I'm currently 6 months pregnant and stopped feeding my 22 month old baby boy about 2 months ago and that was due to other reasons. X you should be fine, my little boy didn't go off it at all. As for tandem feeding I wish could have continued for longer. X

I breastfed my firstborn while pregnant. She had her last breastfeed bedtime the day before my second was born. She was 22 months. When I got out of hospital 4 days later she tried for her normal bedtime breastfeed and said it was disgusting and that was that. Told i was disgusting and then replaced by a cow.

DS was just over 2.5 when I got pregnant for the 2nd time. I found feeding got increasingly painful through the first tri. I stopped feeding him at around 16 weeks pg, days after his third birthday. I just couldn't carry on. He didn't take much encouragement to stop, so I suspect he would have stopped naturally soon anyway.

He's still quite possessive of my boobs though - and DD is 11 months

I'm 22 weeks and still bf my 14m old. It was painful for the first trimester but it's fine now, she doesn't seem to have gone off the taste yet and I still feed her before bed and sometimes in the morning. I was feeding her when she woke in the night but it wasn't actually helping settle her anymore so I've stopped so guess we're kind of nightweaning. She goes nuts if I do bedtime and don't offer though. She's not fussed during the day. Some days I think I'd like to stop and sometimes not! I guess I'll see how it goes, if she weaned herself off I'd be quite pleased though I think.

I kept going - you will probably loose your milk by the end of the first trimester but you can keep dry nursing if your child is happy too and see if there is still interest when your colostrum comes in.

I nursed right through my second pregnancy. My son was 4 and only nursing at bedtime so a very different situation. My milk went by 14 weeks and my son lost his latch around 28 weeks (he was 4 1/2). He tried to nurse every week on average until his sibling was born but only tandemned (for seconds!) twice before he weaned totally.

My daughter was very nearly 2 when I got pregnant. It got really painful and I stopped feeding at 14 weeks due to having to take meds for HG. She stopped really well and accepted it was all gone.

I'm still feeding my 2.4yo though I'm pretty sure my milk has either stopped or is much diminished. I'd be happy if he weaned tbh, but that's how he falls asleep and not sure what I'd do without it! So I'm just carrying on and seeing what happens as things change.

Boobs marginally bigger and more sore (especially when feeding).

I'm not specifically looking to tandem but I've heard it's a great way for the older to bond and accept the newborn. Or there'll be huge jealousy over the boobs
