Feeling anxious!

I'm currently should be 12w 2days and have my scan in 2 days but my anxiety is back and I'm struggling with staying positive, over thinking everything, I've had 5 miscarriages before and cannot think straight with this pregnancy, I had a scan at 9+3 and all was ok but the reassurance from that scan had turned into fear of the next.. im no longer bloated, I'm checking my boobs daily to see if they've changed (I've checked so much that I don't even know what's normal or not) my stomach did feel heavy in the mornings but that's gone too!
I totally get that I'm possibly over thinking this but I need a way of dealing with this, I've even been dreaming about things going wrong! Just not feeling great going towards this scan and any help or tips as to try not to worry about it so much..

I can't offer tips as I get anxious too, but didn't want to read and run. Wishing you all the best for your scan!

No tips but I was exactly the same. I lived from scan to scan and constantly worried that something had gone wrong.
I got through it by distracting myself continually and reminding myself that the longer nothing had gone wrong the less chance there is of something going wrong.

All the best for your scan. Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well.

It's very normal for the symptoms that hit your hardest in early pregnancy like the bloating and boob tenderness to subside around 12 weeks. Everyone says the second trimester is the nicest because you tend to get a symptom reprieve! So take comfort in the fact that your symptoms seemingly disappearing isn't necessarily a bad sign, more that things are potentially progressing as they should.

As for the anxiety I know it's hard to control, especially when the symptoms that brought you comfort are disappearing. When your thoughts are running away from you try to recognise it. I found this technique helped me while I was waiting for my next scan:

Sit comfortably, close your eyes, take a deep breath and place one hand on your heart and one hand on your baby. Breathe deeply and slowly as though you're trying to oxygenate every cell in your body. Breathe for you and your baby. Focus on the fact that your last scan was good and that the next one has no reason to be any different. Keep going until your fears have faded to the back of beyond and your heart rate is back to normal. This could take a few minutes but stick with it.

I really hope your scan goes well and that the rest of your pregnancy is easy and happy. Remember you can always ask your midwife for extra support at any point and that she's there to help you. Flowers

Thank you ladies for your replies, quite sad wanting to feel like rubbish just so you won't have to worry so much!
Hopefully the next 2 days will fly but I will definitely try your suggestion Tally. I did mention to the consultant when I seen him that all pregnancy anxietys were back but don't think he listened!
Hope things are going well for you all x
