Pregnancy

Just found out I'm pregnant (after crazy Paris trip) - flying, unsafe?

My boyfriend chartered a flight to and from Paris from London yesterday. We left at 8 and then landed back in London by 6. The flight was private so luckily I didn't do any heavy lifting, but I am still worried about the fact I was flying.

I'm 4 weeks along, roughly.

Will this cause any issues? When is it safe to fly until? We have plans to fly to Geneva, New York, Miami and Nice during the upcoming months.

Timewise, how late you can fly depends on the airline so you'd have to check.

You're fine, congratulations!

Assuming you've got no other medical conditions it's fine to fly up to 36 weeks for a singleton pregnancy and 32 weeks for multiples. At 4 weeks your fine.

Nope, you should be fine. Just make sure you drink plenty of water and move around enough during the flights (especially the long ones) and bear in mind that some airlines will need a letter from your GP when you are further along. Not sure what the situation is on private flights though Wink Also this is probably common sense but if you are travelling make sure your health insurance covers you for any pregnancy-related issues that could arise while you are away. And congratulations!

Feet can swell in pregnancy, make sure your diamond shoes aren't too tight.

Flying's fine, but babies are expensive. Tell your boyfriend that Easyjet do Gatwick - CDG for about twenty-five quid for the next one?

Unlike if you don't fly by private jet, when it's like a weightlifting competition... Hmm

You are fine to fly. And lift things.

Just re read and noticed this bit

The flight was private so luckily I didn't do any heavy lifting,

Gosh yes. The last time we flew peasant class, one had to heft our luggage into the hold oneself.

😂😂
I hate all the lifting you have to do on standard flights. Last time they had us get out and help bump start the plane.
