Hi everyone

I've just joined this so I've probably done it wrong Hmm but anyway, I had a positive result on Friday. I'm nervous but also very happy. It's just I feel like I'm away to get my period. I haven't had any bleeding but having that heavy pulling feeling quite low down in my stomach. I'm seeing my doctor on Wednesday but just looking for some reassurance before then if possible.

Thanks :) xx

Congratulations!

Yes I think cramping can be normal from what I can remember! Just relax and enjoy the excitement.

Congratulations!! I felt exactly like my period was coming at first (and then on and off for a few weeks!) and I think it's very common.

I also just felt like I was coming on my period as normal except it never came and I got a bfp :) cramping carried on for a few weeks after that as well.

Hi all,

I'm currently 8+4 and have had a stomach ache all day today, and yesterday. It feels quite similar to period pain but isn't easing. It's definitely an ache rather than a pain but quite a strong ache. Can anyone put my mind at ease or should I be worried?

For all three of my pregnancies, one of my very earliest symptoms, pretty much alongside a positive test, was a dull, pulling sort of full feeling ache very low down! It certainly never meant my period was one the way for me after a positive test, they are 3yrs, 6yrs and 28wks pregnant! Fingers crossed it's just your body doing its pregnant thing for you too! Good luck. x

Thanks Anawi, and congratulations on your third baby Flowers I hope you're right and it's just baby making some more room and snuggling in!

Wow, I think we might be due date buddies!

It's my first time, too. It's such a strange limbo feeling, where I have all these symptoms (boobs hard enough to be weapons-grade, and incessant nausea) but I still can't quite believe I'm pregnant and can't tell anyone anything.

I'm not sure whether to go to the doctor this early (5 weeks since last period) or whether I'd be being ridiculous and overeager. Any advice?

I felt the exact same although my sickness and sore boobs have stopped for now! Just the tiredness has hit me hard. Can barely function! Well I'm 5 weeks and I had my booking in app by the midwife today so I say go for it! Xxx

Congratulations Lukke! I think my due date is either the 30th June or 1st July. I'd definitely go if you think you're about 8-9 weeks too, the midwife usually tries to get out for the booking appointment by 10 weeks apparently.
Nearly all of my symptoms have gone so now I'm worried, not really feeling sick (haven't actually been sick at all) and the indigestion/heartburn has gone, not really feeling overly tired either.... Sad

Twinklestars,

Mines have gone aswell!! I had the worst heartburn last week and everything has disappeared apart from the tiredness and I'm always tired so who knows. Apparently the symptoms can come and go to start with so it's probably that :) x

Holz, thanks for the reassurance Flowers It was only 2 days ago that I was wishing the indigestion and nausea would stop, and now it has I want it back! I want to be able to enjoy it but can't stop worrying that something will go wrong, need to relax!

I was exactly the same and I also FREAKED out even though I had planned to get pregnant!! That is totally normal! I am now 11 weeks 4 days and am just waiting for my scan next Weds. I have heard that pregnancy gets better after the 12th week so am just waiting for that as I am SO tired and SO sick!
