Nausea is a good thing right??

After suffering a miscarriage in July, I am now pregnant again (roughly 6-8 weeks) and have awful nausea.
I never had it with the last pregnancy so I am guessing that its a good thing and this pregnancy is progressing as it should?
I'm probably overthinking...

I always think so, it's not scientific but it does make me feel better. Like my body is doing something.

At my booking appointment the midwife asked me if I was sick like it was a positive thing. Nausea means high levels of hormones i think. Best of luck to you

Was just coming on to say the same as a PP!

No idea if it's true but when I had hyperemesis and was admitted to hospital the first time I was really panicking about it being harmful and the midwife assured me that sickness is a result of a Hugh level of hormones and a good thing.

I chose to not look in to it and just go with believing her as there was very little making me feel any better at that time and that seemed like a nice silver lining

I think Nausea is a good thing, with my 2 MC I had no nausea, but with my 2 DC I had it.

Had very little nausea with my first pregnancy and had a MMC. Second time round I was sick as a dog and I'm now 40+5 awaiting her arrival! As pps have said it's all due to high levels of all the right hormones :) best of luck x

In my case it was. In my ectopic I never felt sick once!! With my other kids I was puking from 6 weeks. Except my 20month old. Didn't feel sick with him at all

I'm sorry to share a very different experience. I had very mild nausea with my dd and next to none with this pregnancy. With the baby I lost (at 13 weeks) I was being sick up to 4 times a day and the nausea was awful. My baby died at about 8 weeks but I was sick right up until I miscarried. This pregnancy I am carrying another girl and I sometimes wonder if the baby I lost was a boy because of how sick I was compared to with my girls. I honestly don't know and never will. Try not to let it worry you though. Pregnancy after miscarriage is really hard and I know what it is like to look for any possible sign that it will be ok. Unfortunately I don't think symptoms actually mean anything in terms of viability. Good luck, I hope that everything goes smoothly for you and your sickness passes quickly.
