Smelly boobs

Since about 30 weeks pregnant (I'm 36 tomorrow), I've been noticing this funny smell coming from my breasts, kinda like milky/bread dough. I'm clean, wash them everyday, change my bras etc. so I don't know what's causing this and whether it's normal. Could I be leaking small bits of breast milk without realising, then once it dries it's giving off this scent? I'm becoming really self-conscious of it, because too me I can smell it quite strongly and I'm worrying other people can smell it too, making them think I'm dirty or something.

It could be, but could also be a yeast infection? The weather has been really hot and this can aggravate it.

You could try breast pads and change them regularly, might make you feel a bit fresher. You get washable or disposable ones.

I get this every time I'm pregnant. Like a biscuit smell. 😁 very odd and I do not know what it is?! Maybe milk. I tried breast pads n still noticed the smell.

I'm sure this isn't the case with you OP but I do remember a doctor friend once mentioning that a strange smell can sometimes be a little-known symptom of cancer. As I say, I really really don't want to alarm you (and debated posting this for quite a while because of that) since you're pregnant and that's far far more likely to be the reason but thought i should mention it on the very tiny off chance it's worth getting checked out?

I'm still breastfeeding my 14 month old and get the stale dairy sink plus sweat wafting up every now and then. I also suffered from stinkyboobitis during pregnancy. Welcome to the glorious parts of motherhood nobody ever warned you about.

it can get worst when breastfeeding you can start to smell like stale milk or baby sick o dear =p.Whats worst you cant wear perfume when breastfeeding ,babys hate perfume or any smelly stuff.I once tried some channel in house of fraiser and my daughter refused to feed.

i particularly like johnson's breast pads i think you get them at poundland. They are very absorbent, comfortable and help prevent leaking.I found in later pregnancy i started to leak.Avoid wilkos they made me feel raw

but when in doubt check it out just ask the midwife for advice
