Just wondering about any Irish experiences of this test? Am thinking of getting it done at the rcsi as it seems to include a scan. And the others don't? Am in my 40s and very very anxious about this whole pregnancy. Will be 8w on sat but have only just made a gp appt. feel if I start doing stuff it will disappear Blush daft I know.

Have posted on craicnet too. Any experiences v welcome come calm me down

Hi wilting

I got the Harmony done in 2014 in Holles St private and it was €800 (lovely Hmm )

Then I had it again in the Beacon in 2015 and it was €450. The Beacon also offered the Panorama for the same price. I went with the Harmony on the off-chance that it was a twin pregnancy (Panorama can only do singletons).

They all include a scan- they need to do this to date the pregnancy (and check its viable) before they take your bloods. Iirc you need to be 9 weeks for Panorama and 10 weeks for Harmony.

Ah thanks Maisie for that info. Couldn't figure it out from the websites. might use the beacon so!

It wasn't available at all on my last pregnancies.

Sorry wilting when I say Holles St Private- it's actually called the Merrion Fetal Clinic, if you're Googling.

I just had the Harmony in Merrion Fetal Health and it was €495 I think. Less than the €800 I was quoted in 2014 last time I was pregnant. Had a scan, filled out some paperwork and blood test. Got the results very quickly which was great. Don't know anything re the Panorama.

I found the Beacon great. I'll PM you the email I got from them, with all the info in it Smile

Aw perfect, thank you!

I don't think there's much difference baby. You can do panorama a week earlier is the main pt I have picked up. Also I think it checks for some other chromosomal issues.
