I recently went to a pilates class and had a very quiet word with the instructor at the beginning to say I am 6 weeks pregnant. I am new to pilates so wanted her to be aware incase anything should be modified. I'd assumed that by being so quiet telling her, and saying I am 'very early - only 6 weeks' she would operate a bit of discretion. But before I knew it, the entire room had been told, and the class then continued with her talking loudly across the room to me about what I could expect as I get bigger, how big the bump will be, and 'are you sure you're only 8 weeks? You're showing a lot!' (I nearly died as didn't realize this, and had been planning to hold off telling work til I am more like 14 weeks).
So what I am really wondering now is;
Can I go to exercise classes (perhaps other than hers) and be assured the instructor will use a bit more discretion?
Which exercise is the best to do in early pregnancy?
I don't want to not do exercise just because of indiscreet instructors, but also I can't risk everyone knowing incase someone I know is in the class!
