Hi everyone,

Hoping someone can help or give their experience. I'm currently just over 8 weeks with my first baby following a very early miscarriage last time.

I have had a scan just over a week ago & all was good, heartbeat seen & the right size for dates give or take a couple of days. At the time I'd only had a couple of waves of nausea & some slightly sore boobs.

All was well until a few days later I had some brown discharge which lasted less than 24 hours & has not come back yet but I've had zero nausea at all & boobs definitely don't feel that sore. Unless I knew I'd hardly say I felt pregnant at all. I phoned our EPAC who'd seen me first time & they said not to worry unless discharge got heavier etc.. Which it hasn't.

Don't have a midwife yet as not got an appointment for another couple of weeks but am going mental with worry. Has anyone else had this?

Thanks so much in advance for any help you can give.

This is my first pregnancy and I'm only 14 weeks so not the font of all knowledge but it doesn't seem to be that unusual - mine have come and gone throughout. Boobs haven't been sore for about 10 days and today they hurt like buggers!

Hi, bear in mind that your pregnancy symptoms are most likely being caused by hcg and progesterone levels in your body. These tend to level out now and again and your body adjusts to the level and learns how to cope. Then they'll surge again and leave you feeling crap again.
However, if you're still worried I'd recommend phoning your community midwife team or EPU to discuss your concerns. Another option would be to book in for a private scan. We did this at 11 weeks for a bit of spouting - it was about £40 I think but needed a bit of travelling. Bearing in mind with this that they don't have counselling services at these private places so if by small chance there's bad news then there's no proper aftercare to deal with it.
If you've already seen a heartbeat then that bodes well. Flowers

I'm the same boat. I'm about 8 and a half weeks and feel totally fine. Had some waves of nausea at 6-7 weeks, but now I feel completely normal. I'm trying not to worry as have had no cramps or bleeding and I'm on holiday at the moment so I might just be nice and relaxed, which is making me feel better! My dating scan has been booked quite early (I won't be quite 11 weeks) so I'm going to keep everything crossed and wait until then. I'm afraid I don't have much advice to offer, but I hope it helps a bit to know that not everyone is feeling like crap 24 hrs a day. X
