Is Canestan double strength through cream safe?

I'm away for half term, 6weeks pregnant and have developed a bout of thrush. The first pharmacist I went to refused to give me anything without a prescription from GP because I'm pregnant. The second one said it was ok and gave me the double strength cream (no pessaries or tablet). I can't see my GP for at least a week and I'm really uncomfortable- has anyone been prescribed the Canestan double strength cream in early pregnancy?

I've been prescribed that and the pessary and tablet... All multiple times since I was about 5 weeks pregnant. I'm a thrush machine when pregnant!

The creams, pessaries, etc are ok but you shouldn't take the oral tablet during pregnancy. When inserting the pessary you may need to use your fingers rather than the applicator so you don't put it in too far.

Pharmacists won't give you the pessary if you're pregnant but a dr would prescribe it. I have a repeat prescription for them. Don't tell the pharmacist you're pregnant and insert with a finger not the applicator. The cream is fine too btw.
