Being induced today...

I'm shit scared. I feel sick and stressed.

I'm being induced due to repeated reduced movements and currently 37+3.... I know it's the right decision but can't help questions myself! My hubs is being amazing and currently sorting the house out ready for baby.

Going in a 1pm and the wait is driving me crazy...

Good luck OP.
You are definitely doing the right thing.
I was induced and while it isn't what anyone plans for I did like the fact the I was on the ward the whole time
So no panicked calls to DH at work, or phoning midwives to work out how far along my labour was to try and get to the hospital. That whole level of stress was removed.

Good luck op-I'm being induced on Tuesday and very anxious. At least you'll be monitored throughout and they're doing the best for you both Flowers

I'm having contractions but cervix is still high. It's horrible. It hurts so much. Second pessary has just gone in so hopefully that will do the job

I was induced a couple of weeks ago. My pessery decided to let me have contractions during the night and finished by morning!
I hope your managing to get some rest. Ask for pain killers if you need them!

I survived! It was a very very long night but baby arrived 9:35 Monday morning! Ended up in theatre with a forceps delivery but it meant he was out safely. He actually doesn't have any bruises but they did cut me Sad the catheter seems to have messed me up thou too so I've lost the ability to know when and to actually wee!! Baby also seemed to be very sleepy, he needed to go to intensive care to be monitored but he should be allowed out today! Good luck today!!

waves at Frankie

I am being induced today too! It's baby 3, and induction 2, so a bit less nervous than last time, but still very odd to feel absolutely fine now, but know that I will (hopefully!) be in labour shortly.

Very best of luck. If you need a chat or a hand hold give me a shout- last time there was lots of hanging around so will be nice to have company!

Congratulations Frankie. Hopefully LO will be out soon. Glad they are keeping an eye on him!
My LO was sleepy after my induction as they also take in some of the drugs from the induction. Over 2 weeks later and she is starting to be more awake so don't be concerned if he stays a bit sleepy for a while!
Does your LO have a name?

Make sure you rest up and get all the help you can! Flowers

Ernie Ray Grin I just want him in my room now! The likely hood of me being discharged today is slim... To be honest I'm fine with that because my colsestrum (not sure how to spell it..) hasn't started yet so I've not managed to feed him.. Obvs he has had formula to keep him going. Just a bit disappointed x

Congratulations OP!

I think it's routine to have a episiotomy when having a forceps delivery to avoid damage and tears to mum.

Also, don't worry about breast feeding! I had an EMCS in January and it took 6 days for my milk to come in so I was topping up with formula. Just make sure that baby's latch is effective and keep popping on to stimulate. You'll get there SmileThanks
