Thoughts on the Jane Trider System

Trying to distract myself from the constant nausea and vomiting and heartburn by looking at travel systems.

My best friend, who is now on baby no. 3 has recommended the Jane Trider system so I've been watching lots of youtube videos on it etc.

We live in a very rural place, have horses and dogs and am more covered in mud than make up, so it seems to tick all the boxes in the all terrain respect.

I'm confused about the car seat situation. I understand that the lying down cot part allows for the baby to travel or be in it for longer than 2 hours...so I imagine that means you can take the cot out of the car and keep baby in it in the house? If so, what's the point of the car seat? I get that the both the car seat and the cot attach to the base, so can both be pushed around, but I don't get why you need both? Or am I missing something?

Anyway - anyone with experience, please comment!
