Sharp stabing pain after miscarriage - please help!

Hello,

I am not sure this is the right place to post this but I recently have had a miscarriage, the bleeding seems to have just about stopped after three long weeks and I am just waiting for my hormone levels to go back to 0 (they were going up and down rather slowly). Due to the hormone levels I had an internal scan on Friday to check and see if everything was ok, it looked fine apparently, they think i must just have a tiny piece of tissue or something left, which is causing the levels to fluctuate.
Anyway, yesterday I experienced a really sharp pain in my anus and it was on and off for about 15 minutes then just dissappared. My husband and I DTD last night for the first time in a fw weeks and i felt rather sore so we stopped. Then this morning I have got to work and the pain from yesterday has returned, and it even worse than yesterday, so much so that i was shaking and went white! The pain today is in my anus and my lower pelvic area. It's last for about 45 min and is finally starting to subside, but it's still there just not as intense.

I have to go back to the SPU this afternoon, but i was wondering has anyone else experenced anything like this before, it is scaring me?! I was only about 5 weeks pregnant when i miscarried.

Thanks x

Hi Lizzie,

I'm sorry for your loss.

I had an MC in October, and although I never experienced the pain that you did, it still took me a while for my hormones to regulate.

How did it go at the SPU? It was lucky that you had your appointment and could be in the right place to ask. Did they have any answers?
