Pregnancy

34 weeks and fed up

I'm 34 weeks but I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead. Comfort seems a thing of the past, as does sleep I have been plagued with insomnia for the last 3 weeks.

I'm not looking for sympathy, just knowledge that someone else feels the same as me.

Currently 40+ 5 with a small elephant on board . Measuring 48 weeks . Canno longer physically sit upright as the size of the child forces me to lean back slightly.

Last baby was 10lb9 and this one is scanning bigger . Believe me I feel your pain!

I'm just finding the thought of a potential further 6-8 weeks like this will be unbearable. Thing is- I was so active before, all the things I used to enjoy, running riding etc are just not options. Even walking up the stairs is a pain in the arse!

And bless my other half- but he just doesn't get it. Men don't seem to understand that the 'bump' does not squash it's not soft, it's rock hard

36+1. Also fed up.

Try not to dwell on the time you have left because it'll make it drag. Sleep is a problem for me too, can you make time for little naps?

40+3 here. Believe me, once your due date has been and gone, it reaches a new level of crappy! So fed up of misjudging my bump and squishing it against things. Also terrible insomnia.

Only thing is, having DC1 already means I'm able to fully appreciate how easy my life is right now compared to what it will be in 10 days' time. And my boobs are my own for a few more days Grin

Thanks ladies- reality is I've still got a bit to go then before I really find out what 'fed up' is - yikes Smile

Totally fed up here. I'm 35+5 and measuring 40 weeks. Everything aches and I get out of breath walking up the stairs. Last night I woke up every 1.5 hours to pee. DH is out with a friend tomorrow so I have the prospect of a day solo with my energetic 3.5 year old to look forward to. Feel sorry for the kid as I have zero energy to do anything fun with him.

baby oh my God! Can't believe someone hasn't tried to induce you with all those stats and history! My first was 10.5lbs at 41+4 and we had other dramas at the birth so I'm being induced at 39 wks. Am 33 weeks and also fed up but also appreciating the ease of just one dc and sleeping! Not feeling toooo bad yet but I have broken my foot so am on crutches and the heavier I get the harder it is to drag myself around! Not finishing work for another 4 weeks. Booooo.

My last one was an uncomplicated home birth and as this one is scanning as just under 90th centile (last one scanned on the 50th!) they have no clinical reason to induce . Starting to wish I'd bloody requested it though!

Glad to know I'm not the only 1 fed up. I've had pregnancy from hell. Embolisms in both lungs at 11 weeks so I have to inject blood thinners twice a day. Haemorrhage at 15 weeks, another at 19 weeks then another one at 23 weeks. I was given steroids as they said big chance baby would come early. The haemorrhages were from my placenta. At 27 weeks I started with spd/pgp. I've managed to get to 33 weeks with no more bleeding. He's measuring on the 97th centile and I feel like I'm carrying round a hippo! The only thing keeping me going is that I'm being induced in 26 days!

Sorry for the moan! Brew and Cake all round.

34 weeks here. Stairs are the devils own work - it's like trying to climb bloody Everest some days.

I feel like I've barely slept in weeks so I fully sympathise. I would pay good money for 12 solid hours sleep!

I feel like an elephant, everything aches, had a siatica type pain down my leg for 5 days which hurts when I walk and to be honest I could do with a large glass (or bottle) of wine..!!! Please tell me these last weeks aren't going to drag I feel like I can't do this for much longer Sad
