Pregnancy

Anxiety at 35 weeks

I'm becoming increasingly anxious that something will go wrong with this pregnancy.

I had a bit of a scare last week where the midwife thought there was a problem with fetal heart rate. I was monitored and all fine but it got me googling and I just feel so
Anxious now.

Other than monitoring fetal movement is there anything else I can do to ensure this baby is delivered safe and sound.

I'm 31wks and very anxious. In fact, increasingly anxious week by week. There's nothing else you can do other than keep your antenatal appointments and report to your midwife anything you're concerned about. It's pretty much out of your hands. Easier said than done but try to relax - you're almost at the finish line. X

Thanks.

I have 2 dcs and have been quite a bit more relaxed about the pregnancy this time round but my old anxious feelings have returned. I'll be glad when this baby is here safe and sound.

BTW don't let me freak you. I know it's me being a nervous wreck and there's nothing to worry about. Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly.

I'm anxious too. I think it's normal. I might call my gp tomorrow though, it's good to chat to someone sometimes.

Avoid googling - just a way to stoke the fearful side of you with lots of scary stories, symptoms, syndromes etc. Boringly routine pregancies just naturally get less space on the net. Your MW appointments are very close now - save worries for discussions with MW.

I'm 34 weeks and so anxious, am on ADs throughout this pregnancy, am 42 and it's an ivf pregnancy and I am terrified something will go wrong at the last hurdle Sad Nothing has shown up in any scan to make me think this, but just want the baby out now so I can put an end to this anxiousness. I feel your pain

I could have written this OP, i'm 38 weeks and was sent for monitoring last week due to fetal heartbeat being tachycardic. I'm now really anxious about these last few weeks, but have no idea what I can do!
