Hi I posted yesterday as I got several positives with a frer and tesco but a negative CB digi.
All yesterday afternoon and today at work I've had what I can only describe as sharp stabbing pain on and off (not cramps ) that goes up my doodah to the left side as far up as my belly button (to the left) I rang the Drs just now they said they can't do anything and traipse up to a&e. Has anyone else had this ? Am I over reacting ? My local hospital early pregnancy clinic closed at 4pm so what can a&e do?

I would hold off until tomorrow. Without sounding harsh as its no way intended, there's not a lot that can be done so early. I had a lot of growing pains in early weeks and I was terrified it was something more sinister. I'm now 12 weeks and seems to come and go now. I still panic as much though. See how you feel in the morning but if you won't sleep with worry then go to a&e xx

I would actually probably go tonight if you can just in case it's maybe an ectopic. Are you having any shoulder tip pain?

me and my DSIS got these pains during pregnancy (all the way through) just randomly, we like to call it "hot knitting needle".....feels like its just been shoved up there....lovely I know.....that's how my DSIL knew she was pregnant because she was getting these pains after we had been telling her about them.....been getting them randomly in this pregnancy too. Hope its just the same thing for you, for us it was nothing to worry about.

Big hugs and hope everything is ok Flowers

Hi thank you for the replies. I ended up going last night 5.5 hour wait and the early pregnancy clinic was closed so we left. The a&e dr did call me at 11.30pm last night to see how the pains were which I thought was kind considering how manic it was up there.
THe pains have eased off today. I wish I didn't worry as much but it's hard not too x

How are things today? Have had previous EP with no shoulder tip pain so do keep a close eye on it.

They were less painful yesterday but they have started again today on and off . Really does feel like I've sat on a knitting needle. Confused

I'm debating whether to pay for a private scan to ensure its in the right place but I am only 5 weeks and don't know if that's to early to tell

Its a lot to spend and tbh something the NHS should cover. Any chance of speaking to your EPU directly or self-referring. Normally they are really cautious about this kind of thing. I don't want to worry you unnecessarily but it's worth getting it checked.

I'm waiting for my gp to call me to see if he can refer me and I'm also waiting for the private hospital to call me too in case my gp won't refer me.

This sounds wrong to me- I had an EP diagnosed via an EPU scan at 5.5 weeks. With subsequent pregnancies I was scanned at 6 and 8 weeks (MMC) then this time 6 and 9 weeks before being discharged into the "usual" process. I suggest googling local hospitals with an EPU and contacting them directly or going back to A&E if the pain is still bad.

I had a private scan last night. They couldn't see anything at all not even a sac. He said my dates could be wrong and he thinks I'm 4 weeks not 5 and ovulated late. Got another scan on the 29th but I've now gone into panic mode and googled which I know I shouldn't have done!! I'm my own worst enemy. I'm now stressing thinking where the hell is the sac Confused
