Anyone had this?

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and have noticed that I have a heavy feeling in my arm and leg. I do suffer from health anxiety and have done for years. I've been to the doctor numerous times about this and she has said she isn't concerned about it. Could it be pregnancy related? I don't get pins and needles but my leg and arm on my right side feel heavy and weak. The more I'm focusing on it the worse it is but I just wondered if anyone had felt the same.

I get a 'dead' arm quite a lot.. Last time I used to get cold wrists. I think it is caused by stuff (technical term) swelling and trapping nerves and stuff.
When I spoke to my gp about it she just said that oregnancy does wierd stuff to you. Sorry for over use of 'stuff'.

Hopefully your go have reassure you if you have health anxiety.. And not say stuff as often. Kx

She did reassure me but I'm thinking all sorts of horrible things!
Haha that's okay, pregnancy does do some funny things which is why I posted on here because who knows!

It's very common to develop carpal tunnel syndrome in pregnancy due to hormones relaxing muscles and joints. Something like that or equally benign is the most likely explanation.
I would work on that anxiety though, maybe you can discuss it with GP rather than symptoms?
Just so you know... you are in fact more protected against auto immune diseases during pregnancy (for example, MS sufferers experience a "break" in symptoms) as your immune system is modified to allow for the baby.

Is the heavy feeling in your arm after you wake up or is it an all day thing? As I get this if I sleep on my back (as baby presses on a nerve I think)

Not all people get a break from auto immune diseases during pregnancy as I have sadly found out!

It's all day the same as the leg though the arm did improve at one point and the leg thing suddenly came on when I was at a soft play area with my daughter, after I wrote her name down and my hand felt weak so I panicked. Then the leg feeling started and it hasn't let up since. I'm just going stir crazy thinking brain tumors
