Swollen fingers and achey ribs..

I've all of a sudden got very swollen fingers (I'm 34+3). I only ever wear one ring on the fourth finger of my right hand and usually it's pretty loose and very easy to get off. Today, all of a sudden, it's completely stuck on my finger as they've all swelled up.

I spoke to a midwife on the phone and she asked about headaches/visual disturbances etc. I told her I only get headaches when I'm really tired , no different to before being pregnant, and there's only been a few occasions where I've seen white spot/flashes in my vision (usually when I go to the bathroom and I get up too quickly or something)
She asked about any pain and I told
Her about pain I've been getting in my ribs but at the back so it kind of feels like back pain because it's so far back, but I told her it was high up (meaning in relation to back pain) but I realise it's actually low down in the ribs, just higher up to where back pain usually is if that makes any sense.

She said to keep an eye on it and ring back in 24 hours if things haven't settled and in relation to the pain in the ribs of paracetamol doesn't help then I'm to call back. I'm just a bit worried about the pain in the ribs as I didn't express how painful it was on the phone as the pain isn't constantly there but when it is Im in agony. It's there at least every day just not all the time so I'm not sure if it's the baby's positioning or what not.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this? I've been worried that the rib pain and swollen fingers may both be a sign of pre eclampsia but the midwife didn't seem overly concerned just yet, but as an already anxious mum to be I can't seem to settle!

Sorry if I sound like a big drama llama, I just get very anxious about anything like this!

You should get your bp and urine checked at the very least. Can you get a gp appointment today, or is there a mw drop in session close by? If you have pain and swelling it shoul be checked out properly.

I have a midwife appointment on Wednesday, if I booked a gp appointment I wouldn't be seen any sooner really but luckily Wednesday isn't far away. I did see my GP 2 weeks ago about the pain in my ribs but he put it down to everything growing/getting cramped in there. He didn't take my blood pressure though he just said my midwife would do it (even though my appointment was weeks away at this point)

You can usually get your bp done for free at a pharmacy, do you have one close by? Take your notes which will have your historic bps on it for reference. If you walk there make sure you rest for a few mins so bp goes down to resting.
