Only have three weeks left of work till I finish but I am already wanting it to start now. I have got a horrible cold, can't talk as its all on my voice box, horrible chest infection and aching all over.

How many of you who are close to leaving wish it would hurry up or is it just me feeling sorry for myself?

Oh I feel your pain. I have 2 weeks left and it's stretching out ahead of me like an age...

I just wish I could sleep properly.

With my first pregnancy, I was ready to go on mat leave from 35 weeks, so the last four weeks really were a push.
This time round, work feels like a rest, so I'm staying as long as possible. Obviously it depends on your job - if I were a gym instructor I'd be struggling! - but as I'm office based, work is much less physically strenuous than running round after a toddler all day.
Am permanently knackered though - the bump keeps me up in the night and the toddler is shouting from 6am.. Just want to sleep!

I've got 6 more weeks to go until mat leave and it can not come soon enough. I keep trying to work out if somehow we can afford for me to finish earlier but alas no.

Wow, I'm impressed at PP who worked to 39w!

I stayed to 37w, but really should have finished at 34-35w. So tired and a lot of fluid retention (think only 1 pair of flip flops fit, hands and legs, even my nose!!).

If there's a next time I'll think a bit more carefully about when to finish.

OMG I was about to write a similar thread. I have 3 weeks left as well and am KNACKERED. Why did I say I would work until 39 weeks?! The weekend has just left me feeling even more exhausted.

Also very aware of how I have just had a complete mental switch to not really giving a sh*t about work, which I can only assume is due to hormones working their magic. I am normally very intense and my work is really pressured - but I just want it to end now! At the same time however I admit I feel like I still need to compete and want to avoid any fuel for the 'pregnant women aren't fully functioning members of the team' fires! Uuurghhh!

roll on 39 weeks!

I've got 4weeks left. Working until 38 weeks and am really ready to finish now but as this is my first don't want to spend too much time at home just waiting for baby. Although I do seem to only be able to sleep on the sofa in the day time so finishing sooner could have been help full!

Oh lemon, I could have written your post. I'm so torn, I really CBA but I don't want to let them slip into the lazy narrative of pregnant woman not pulling weight and no longer interested. It's such a male orientated dept. as well.

39 weeks seemed so achievable way back at the 20 week mark!!

Ugh. I'm only 23 and planning to go til 38. Went off at 36 let time and ds didn't come til 42 and was so bored!!! But now I'm wondering if I'll make it! I guess you can change your mind right? If it's just a week or two. Otherwise might just use annual leave. How long is everyone taking off? I took 10 month with ds1 but as I only went back 4 months ago and am going off again and am going off again I feel I can't take more than 6 months. Sigh.
