OK so I'm due my little baby girl on the 29th of November. So I'm 34 weeks going on 35 Sunday.. At my last midwife appointment last Monday I was told she was head down, she was also head down another two times before that as well !

Since Tuesday night , I've been feeling a little off? I keep thinking I really need to poo, but then I don't need to and I keep passing wind ( TMI?? I'm sorry :( ) , I keep getting period like pains around my hips and pelvic bone .. Kinda like when your nearing your period and it feels like you went running without stretching lol... Baby has been moving a lot! I've had a few braxton hick contractions here and there. There has been a slight increase in vaginal discharge but it doesn't look any different or anything.my backs been sore since I was like 27 weeks so its hard to say if that's to do with it. The main thing is getting pains at the pubis symphysis which kinda, when I'm lying down makes me arch my back because its really uncomfortable... I know I must sound ridiculous trying to be technical but I'm trying to get as much help as possible :)
Its my first time around and I just don't know what this means :/ I've heard of impending labour but can't find much on how to know if your in it lol . help!! :(

All sounds very normal. Most babies are head down and engaged from around 34 weeks. The period pains are probably just where baby is moving her head while she's so low. You'll know when you're in labour don't worry about that!

Not much help but my baby was head down and 3/5 engaged from 32 weeks. I was so uncomfortable and had period type pains on and off but nothing regular. I went into labour at 40+5.

Everyone is different, right before labour my braxton hicks and period pains were regular, I timed them like I would contractions.

For some your signs could mean that labour is right around the corner and for others still weeks away.

Also sounds normal to me (33wks) and I never thought it could be labour. I'm fairly sure we'll know when labour is starting. The general discomfort appears to just be normal!

Ohh I'm hoping it means nothing ,I'd prefer to go longer lol I've not had much pains or anything odd or persistent like this till now so I was beginning to wonder after a few days of it! Thanks for the replies so far :)

I'm 37 + 1 and my baby has been head down for a few weeks. I was Sen for a scan as the midwife couldn't feel head, but when I was scanned its because it's very low down. I to have had period like pains just here and there no real pattern to them, lol and the baby hiccups a lot which feels strange. But some days if I'm walking or going to the loo I feel a lot of pressure down below. I'm sure we shall have a indication when we are starting in labour. Good luck ??
