Hi everyone. Thanks if you can help.

I started bleeding Thursday just gone (8th October) it was brown blood mostly but at one point there was a spot of red, before going back to brown. And it was only bleeding when I wipe. I went to the doctors, the next day and they told me to call the EPU, which I did. They told me that it's implantation bleeding and for me not to worry as I weren't in any pain. Also by that point I had stopped bleeding (By this point it Saturday). I have had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy at 8 Weeks which was in April this year. I started coming to terms with the fact it could have been a miscarriage until the EPU told me it was implantation bleeding.

But now I have just gone to the toilet and found I was bleeding again (brown blood at the moment). There's a little bit of pain and discomfort, but not much, not like I did when I had a miscarriage. More like hunger pains, or 'needing the toilet' pains at the moment (best way I can describe them).

I don't know what I am meant to do or think. Should I be worried?

Brown blood is old blood so in all likelihood nothing to worry about especially if no pain. If you are worried call epu again. I bled with all 3 previous pgs so it's not always bad

I had on and off again blood at around 5-7 weeks. Mostly brown, when I wiped, with one bout of bright red blood which scared the life out of me. It was all fine, ds is now almost two.

Personally though, if it continues, I would be pushing for an early scan. I was lucky enough to be referred for one and as they found a heartbeat very early I was hugely reassured.

I had brown spotting/bleeding in my first pregnancy at about 6 weeks - in my case it seemed just to be some old blood (poss implantation related) being pushed out by growing uterus etc (at least that's how the doctor explained it) - I did get an early scan at the hospital though to check all was ok before they came to this conclusion - something you could try and push for as a pp said? Odds are everything is ok but I know how worrying it is Thanks
