Hello,

I have posted this on the pushchairs products page but cross posted for more answers!

Does anyone have either of the above?

I'm going to have a newborn and a 21month old and am torn between the two...
I would be grateful for any thoughts/ advice on either.

Thank you

I've heard (from my sister who had one) that icandy pushchair seats are on the small size so my niece only fitted in hers until she 15months or so without it being a struggle. She's on tall side but definitely not a little chubster.

I have the older uppababy and would love to get the new one for when ds2 arrives but can't justify it. I think it looks amazing but what put me off was having to buy the rumble bassinet and then the rumble seat. I've bought the rumble seat for my older one so the only advantage of the new one is having the bassinet for first 4 months and that's a lot of money for 4 months!

We got the 2012 uppababy for DS who was born in 2013. Bloody loved it and can't wait to use it again for DC2. DS is 2.5 now and we are toying with the idea of getting the buggy board - is that an option for you?

And fwiw me and DH have always thought the icandy seats looked tiny as we used to always see kids squashed into them! The uppababy is very roomy unless they've changed the dimensions for 2015, but can't see why they would.

My friend has a couple of fair sized boys and has had no issues with the seat units. The pushchair looks awesome and its got good customer reviews on alot of trusted sites! go in John Lewis and try the Peach is probs best thing to do :)

I have the Peach, i orginally had as a single, but when my second baby arrived i was able to use these adapters which made it into a double pushchair. i really cant praise the stroller high enough, my friends all love it. As for size, i have had no issues, the seat unit has an adjustable foot rest so it has kind of grown with my kids. Its a really cool buggy, i have it in black magic which looks amazing.

Look at the Joolz Geo Duo - I love it. Similar price to uppababy but seemed easier to fold down, possibly lighter and narrower.
We looked at the icandy but it didn't look as robust as the other two (the upper seat looked to wobble and my eldest is quite chunky!) but I do see many around so I'm sure it's perfectly good.

Thanks everyone, one of the main reasons I like the uppababy is that you can have the 2 seats facing opposite ways- so one parent facing and the other facing outwards. I really don't like the thought of baby facing the back of a chair. Does the Joolz do that too?

Ah no it doesn't. I didn't realise the uppababy had that option - might have looked into it more if so!

I have a large (16kg) 20 month old DS and am expecting any day now. He is not yet a great long distance walker, so have invested in a double.

I sold my second hand bugaboo Cam for the new Uppababy Vista 2015 and I have not looked back. It is a fabulous single, with a huge versatile seat and an enormous shopping basket. Even as a single I LOVE IT! The only niggle is that it is not a small pushchair (although folds smaller than the Bugaboo Cam in my car) and is about 4cm wider than I would like it to be. I do understand why it has to be this wide, and if it was not, I would be worried about using it as double due to the tip risk.

I have not used it routinely as such yet, but plan to have the carry cot / car seat and the single seat when baby arrives. It is long and does need a little force to pop it up the curb ( i have used it with another baby!) but everything in life is a compromise. My 20 monther still has 2 naps per day, so the ability to recline was a must to me, and this seemed to have the seat configurations that I wanted.

I plan to use the buggy board as soon as possible, and wanted a well built sturdy pushchair to attach one to, as my boys are big (baby measuring huge too on scans). Ticks this box too.

Overall, not looked back having made the change for single use, and can not see myself being upset when using as a double.

I looked at the icandy - smaller seats, tiny carrycot and the clicky-hood would drive me mad and wake the boys!

Hope this helps

I disagree with the comments about the size of the icandy, when i got mine the salesperson told me that icandy had a "class leading" 25kg weight limit which sounds pretty impressive. The seat has an adjustable leg rest and my first born was on the larger size and we had absolutely no issues with the size. I think its best to see for yourself in stores, but the carrycots are definitely of a good size, i am sure someone call tell you the exact dimensions in store!

It also depends on where you live, i find the peach really responsive to steer, and good on different terrains, whilst some pushchairs struggle.

As for the uppababy vista 2015 i did see on which (the review site) that they had issued a safety alert on 2015 models and had done a product recall, maybe worth looking in to.

My DD bought the Uppababy. My DGD is 22 months now and they both still love it.

100% go for the iCandy. The Peach 3 is class above the Vista and I can support that claim as I've personally had both. I started with the new Vista but I swiftly changed it for the Peach as there were so many problems with it. When the recall came along that was the final straw for me. There are some comments here that suggest the Peach 3 seats are small however this is not the case at all. The Peach 3 beats the Vista in every department including the look, fold and feel of the pushchair. I have no doubt that the new Peach's which are on their way are going to blow the Vista out the water x
