I keep taking nosedives in my energy levels. Like I'm tired all the time and then a of a sudden I'm drained and can't even lift my arms. Breathing is an effort. Is this normal?

I had similar symptoms a few weeks ago and I went to the doctors as I knew breathlessness and tiredness was part if being preg, but surely not to that extreme! I had a blood test and it turned out that I am anaemic. Maybe ask for bloods in case you are? I'm on iron supplements now and feel much better :-)

I was wondering if it was iron related . I have my scan next week and bloods will be done then so I will know. Glad you're feeling better Grin Hopefully I can get sorted too. It's exhausting just to lie here!

I remember feeling hungover during the early parts of both my pregnancies. Completely washed out, slightly nauseous, can't get the brain to work.

It lasted until about week 20 in both cases (sorry). But it did lift eventually :)

I'm 10 weeks into my long awaited second pregnancy and absolutely exhausted through not doing much at all (well apart from growing a person!) I remember being so tired in my first pregnancy too that just showering and washing my hair then getting dressed was enough to exhaust me, once after washing my hair I actually fell asleep on the bed with my hairbrush still in my hand! Can't remember when the tiredness eased last time, I should have kept a weekly diary!

I picked up an iron supp and it's helping already although I'm very tired right now! Just part and parcel I suppose. That sleeping after drying hair was me on Sunday!

Might be worth me trying an iron supplement then. Maybe spatone liquid iron supplement?

I got sent to GP today by midwife as feeling really quite unwell. Dizzy spells etc and I feel horrendous.

Been told to spend a couple of days in bed to see how I feel
