I don't know sex of the baby due early dec but looking to get a pram. Seen one I like and one in blue is on offer . My question is is it wrong to have a blue pram in case the baby is a girl or colour doesn't matter ?

I'd say it doesn't matter at all! Especially with blue for a girl (my favourite colour is blue and I'm a girl...)

Doesn't matter at all. If you get the blue pram and it turns out to be a girl and you want some pink... Accessories are your friend and I love blue and pink together!

It doesn't matter. But you can change hood colour on most prams so if it's cheap you could always buy another hood if you like

Thanks guys- it's a pricey one so will be sticking with what it comes with but accessorise it its cybex prism going for true blue

I bought a blue bugaboo cameleon it was a bargain (in comparison to what it could have been) but it was only available in blue. I'm not bothered though a couple of our friends thought it was weird. I'm currently team yellow.

My DD had a blue pram because I liked the colour. Buy it, and who ignore anyone who makes silly remarks about it.

Colour doesn't matter at all. Not buggies, not sleepsuits, sippy cups, nothing. DD had a navy buggy with a rainbow cosy toes. It looked ace.

Oh goodness, it doesn't matter. I've a blue/grey pram I had for my eldest and we didn't know he was going to be a boy. Used the same pram for my second born and will be using it again for my third DC (again, no idea what I'm having any day now).

It's just a pram! They're in it for a few years and then you pack it away.

I had this same dilemma when buying a blue buggy for my DD-I'm so glad I did, I love it (and no-one thinks it's weird ) x

I dress my baby girl in blue all the time. She's a baby and can't tell me what colours she prefers yet and I couldn't give a shit what anyone else thinks! Blue/pink thing makes me so annoyed and it gets worse once you have them.

Gosh no, who cares? Go for it. I had a black pram and a lime green buggy. My 2 DDs seem unscathed by the experience.

I think pink prams are pretty naff personally. I'd have gone for gender neutral/blue even if I'd known in advance I was having girls.

I had a navy pram for both my dds. At 15 and 10 they seem unscathed!

Just had a look at the buggy. It's lovely. Can I ask where it's on offer?

I'm due dc3 and our old buggy is knackered. I need a new one and wouldn't hesitate to buy the blue ahead of knowing the sex. But then I hate pink and anything too girly. Blue is my favourite colour.

You might have to be prepared for people assuming that the baby is a boy though, as unfortunately some people can't seem to see that pink and blue are just colours.

Both of my DDs were mistaken for boys if they weren't dressed in pink, although when they had pink blankets - "ah, what a lovely little girl" . People do assume.

We got a blue pram because we liked the colour. Bump turned out to be a girl. I hate the pink for girls/blue for boys stuff anyway. I still love the colour of the pram.

We're going for an icandy in red. We're having a girl and I would have picked blue happily, only the OH has a bee in his bonnet about blue and dislikes it (which he will say, whilst wearing jeans... Grrr...). Go for it!

Why on earth does anyone colour ode their pram to the sex of their child.

If you like blue, buy the pram.

Oh gosh, just had a look at the pram and it's absolutely fine! It's exactly the same colour of pram that I had for DD2.

I assumed you meant a blue pram like this. I love the colour of the blue of the pram I have linked but there are some people who would assume there was a little boy in it.

Yours is more of a denim colour if I'm looking at the right pram?

But what does it matter if total strangers think a boy is in the pram? I have had strangers say "what a beautiful girl" to my boy in red buggy wearing navy joggers and a t shirt with cars. And "what a big strong boy " to my girl in red joggers and pink hair clip. It really, really doesn't matter.
