Feel so guilty but want this baby out

39+3 and feeling so fed up. Feel awful saying so but I just want the baby out now.
I was miserable towards the end with my 2dc but really miserable with this little one.
School holidays so I can't venture far with others as I'm in so much pain. Spd, cramp in my legs and wrist and huge bump (44 cm last week) mean I aren't sleeping.
I can't sit on couch, am uncomfortable to drive so forever on my ball im exhausted.
Don't see midwife for another week. Had sweep last week and she said she'd expect to hear I'd delivered within the week as cervix was central, soft and 2cm long. So I know the end is in sight somewhere but I'm struggling to stay positive and feel the worst mother possible Sad

I'm only 22 weeks and ready for it all to be done! I'm feeling very guilty because I think I should be enjoying my pregnancy, blah blah and really I'm kind of wishing for it to be over! But the one thing I don't feel guilty about is that I know I love my baby. As long as you've got that, nothing to worry over, right? I've not been as far along as you yet (this is my 1st) but I can only imagine how I'll feel in a few months time. So I'm sure it's natural and as you say, the end is in sight! So Flowers for you and just think, not long now until Wine!

Oh right there with you both. 39 weeks exactly tomorrow and feel terrible. Baby is in awful position so have horrible rib and stetching pain, terrible back ache, heartburn and am so breathless that walking anywhere takes 10 times longer than it should do. Feel guilty for thinking this as know I should be all 'baby will come when it's ready' but honestly can't stand much longer of being pregnant. Even his/her lovely little kicks now hurt as bump pulled so tightly. So have no helpful advice other than your not the only one xx

Nothing wrong in wanting that baby out. Nothing at all. Who wouldn't? The heartburn, crap sleep, heaviness, aches, swollen ankles. It is perfectly natural to want to give birth so that all the end of pregnancy stuff is done. Flowers

Nothing wrong with disliking pregnancy. It's very different to bring unhappy that you're pregnant. I hate being pregnant and am counting down the weeks. However I'm pleased that I'm pregnant and looking forward to DS having a little brother or sister

Nothing to feel guilty about. I remember not feeling comfortable in any position by the end, DS liked to poke my ribs, so annoying! Hope the baby comes soon Flowers

Awww thank you all for your replies, I love the baby and just want him here in my arms safely. Just want to get my body back and stop being in pain 24/7 and be the mother I am to my girls. Currently cuddled up on couch with film as been for lunch and it's worn me out. Even laying on couch hurts.
Awww ero, 22 weeks feels like a lifetime ago but will fly by, just feels like time stops from 36 weeks ha ha. Thank you all again xxx

Nothing to feel guilty about! I've been feeling increasingly the same way, and I'm 33 weeks. Can't wait to be able to hold, stare at and sniff this little beauty Grin also can't wait to not feel like a whale. I want my capabilities back! SPD and a very big bump really stop me doing very basic stuff. Also, a new treat for me, baby was pretending it's his birthday during the night, so early labour fears too Blush

Oh no feel the noise I hope baby stays put a little while longer. Little tinker.
Seems we're all in the same boat, I feel like I must have forgotten how terrible pregnancy is with my last 2. Can't see me having baby any time soon despite period type pains x

Why do you feel guilty? I'm 35 weeks and pregnancy has been one long nightmare. I've forgotten what it feels like to be able to do anything normally - eat, sleep, walk... I'm so impatient for it to be over! Sounds normal to me.

I want mine out too... I'm 32 weeks, so not that long to go, but finding it a struggle! Find myself panting at the top of the stairs already! It's my last day a work tomorrow so hopefully it'll get easier...

Hope your birth goes well Flowers

I just feel guilty in general, on baby cos I feel like I should be grateful he's healthy and no problems.
Feel guilty on my 2dc as I can't be bothered to do anything lately, in so much pain, they are 11 and 6 so understand but it's hard knowing we're usually an active family and spending most days in house or doing very little.
Seems it's normal so I'm not going to be so hard on myself.
Thank you arv, you too xx
