I have a 2 year old who loves cuddles and still needs to be carried at times, I'm almost 27 weeks with twins. DS sits on top of my bump with his legs wrapped round. He thinks it's ace. It's his 'seat'. My consultant and physio have both told me this is perfectly fine and it can't damage the babies.
He also likes to use my bump as a pillow/arm rest while he's reading a book/watching a film so I have had countless elbows to the tummy in the past few months.
Babies are very well protected in their little bubble, so no reason to stop your little one climbing on for cuddles (even though I do agree it's not the most comfortable thing in the world!).

My youngest atm is 9 months and he is going through the clingy stage.
Also just started to take steps so he is everywhere and into everything.
Tbh there's not much you can do to stop them, it won't do you or the baby any harm just not very comfy for you.
When I was pregnant with my youngest dd I had a 6 month old and an 18 month old and they where forever climbing/jumping on me, she turned out just fine.

Ds is 18 months and I'm 13 weeks. I've been laughing at how my work are so not about me lifting even a heavy folder, at home I have to haul a 2.5 stone toddler around

Haha hotcross I had a similar argument with my panic stricken boss last week who wouldn't let me walk down the corridor with a kettle as it was 'too heavy'...erm, sorry Mr Boss Man but my son is considerably heavier than this!

Am 36 weeks and have 2.5yo twins. I had a great hour with them this afternoon lying on my bed as they got in and out of a big suitcase. Had to warn them not to zip each other in! But meant I got a little rest!

lammad, that's a busy house you have there! Wow!

My ds will be 2 in a couple of weeks and I'm 21 weeks. He is such hard work at the moment - very demanding and gets cranky at the smallest things. I'm finding it very draining to be honest. The climbing on me is nothing in comparison!

Ive a 2 yr old and a 10 month old. Luckily the 2 yr old can be told to be careful and the 10mth old is not at the sudden strong movements stage that will be here shortly yet. You do need to keep on guard to block a leg or whack when they are 1+ I find. I got a few from my eldest when pregnant last time. Its never nice to get a whack in the bump.
