Pprom waters broke at 18weeks 6days

I'm now 19weeks 6days I'm really stressed out I really want my baby to pull through this as this is my 4th pregnancy and the furthest I've been any success stories would be appreciated :(

First of all there has been a few others on mumsnet in a similar position that have had a positive outcome. Never give up hope.

Secondly I'm sure some otherwise ladies than I will be along to give you some advice soon. Thinking of you. X

Me - 19wks and 4 days. I had hospital bedrest and lots of drugs (was in labour as well as PPROM) and made it to 29 weeks.

I really feel for you, it is terrifying. Like you, I had had multiple miscarriages.

What have the drs said? What is the plan? Are you at home or in hospital. You need to rest - do nothing , best of luck.

Also with my second child my waters went at 26 weeks and she held on till 35 weeks to be born so it can happen. Are you in hospital at the moment or have you been sent home ? Are they offering any treatment at this stage?

Hi lavendersun they have put me on antibiotics I also have got to have scans every 4weeks to see if her waters are building up they ideally want me to get to 28weeks but I honestly don't think I'm leaking but I'm not sure if I feel a little wet from discharge I start to panic I just want my little girl to be ok it's horrible :(

Rest, rest, and more rest. Keep your fluids up too. Antibiotics are good too. Stay positive hopeful. Right now your little girl is ok. Cling on to that and let all the tomorrows worry about themselves. They come around quick enough.

Don't get up unless you absolutely have to. I was born after three late miscarriages- my mum lay down for her whole pregnancy with me, and I am the eldest of four. Docs may say it doesn't make any difference, but I'm concpvinced ir does.

Op, I was actually on upside down bed rest for two weeks, my head lower than my cervix. For the next 8 weeks I was allowed up twice a week for a two minute shower. Dh used to come with me to wash my hair!

It was grim, but worth it.

I knitted a cardigan ... Am a slow knitter , still have it. I couldn't concentrate on reading because I was so worried tbh but having something to do will help to pass the hours. Is there anything you like to do/make?

The only time I get up is for toilet trips and for something to eat and shower and then I'm back in bed and not really everything I like doing I have to move for lol I think sky will be my best friend for the next couple of months lol

I'm in hospital at moment at 24 weeks my waters broke Friday. From what the midwives and doctors have told me 72 hours after the waters breaking is when your more likely too go in labour.

My waters went at 10 weeks!
I'm now at 36 weeks and have 'normal' water levels.
It's a scary time, and these have been the longest months of my life - but we're still hanging in there.
Hope all is working out for you too. x

I have resealed yes - they saw me at 12 weeks, then again at 14 weeks - each time there was more fluid, and I've had no leaking.
They were totally shocked at the hospital, and had given me 7-10 days to miscarry!

Hi ladies just an update went for scan today babys waters are measuring normal at 4.2cm shes doing great still on bed rest have anorher scsn next week to make surw babys kidneys are working ok but the doctor said if rhey wasnt her waters would not of built back up thanks for all comments rhey are much appricated in this delicate time in mine and my daughters life thank you again

That's fantastic news hopeful. It's a very good sign and probably the best news you could have at this point. Just keep resting and drinking fluids and allow your baby girl time to get bigger and stronger.

Will be thinking of you both and sending you lots of best wishes.

Glad to hear the good news! Bedrest is horrible, I spent 7 weeks on bed rest with DC2 (who is now a healthy five-year-old) and found it really hard. But worth it all in the end. Invest in some good box sets of DVDs! I watched the whole of The West Wing, kept me sane... :-)

My daughter arrived at 36plus3 - she's a week old now, and doing great!
